  • Jaguars' Trevor Lawrence: Takes part in practice

Lawrence (ankle) was spotted on the field for practice Thursday, Michael DiRocco of ESPN.com reports.

Per DiRocco, Lawrence noted Wednesday that his right ankle felt much better than he anticipated it would two days after suffering a right high-ankle sprain in Monday's overtime loss to the Bengals. While the quarterback didn't appear to take part in every drill Thursday, he warmed up with his teammates and did some throwing. The Jaguars' second Week 14 injury report will be issued later Thursday and clarify the extent of Lawrence's participation.

  • Jaguars' Christian Braswell: Nearing return

Braswell (hamstring) was designated to return from IR on Thursday, Demetrius Harvey of The Florida Times-Union reports.

Braswell has been on IR since Oct. 14 and hasn't played since Week 4 against the Falcons. He'll now have 21 days to practice with the team and get up to speed before needing to be moved back to the 53-man roster. When healthy, the rookie corner only played on special teams, but depending on how soon he returns, he could step into a larger role with Tre Herndon in concussion protocols and Tyson Campbell dealing with a quadriceps injury.

  • Jaguars' Devin Lloyd: Season-high solo tackles in loss

Lloyd recorded 11 tackles (eight solo) in Monday's 34-31 overtime loss to the Bengals.

Lloyd remained very active in Week 13, recording at least eight stops for the seventh game in a row, while the eight solo takedowns represent a season-high for him. The linebacker is now up to 88 total tackles and has also deflected seven passes and recovered a fumble over 10 appearances in 2023.

  • Jaguars' Josh Allen: Interception in loss

Allen recorded seven tackles (three solo), including 1.5 sacks, and also intercepted a pass and deflected another in Monday's 34-31 overtime loss to Cincinnati.

Allen was once again able to get to the quarterback in Week 13, producing at least a half-sack for the third contest in a row. The highlight of the game for him came in the third quarter, though, when he was able to intercept a pass thrown by Bengals wide receiver Tyler Boyd. The interception was only Allen's second of his career through five seasons with Jacksonville.

  • Jaguars' Foye Oluokun: Double-digit tackles in loss

Oluokun recorded 13 tackles (eight solo) in Monday's 34-31 overtime loss to the Bengals.

As per usual, Oluokun was very active in Week 13, recording double-digit tackles for the second straight week and eighth time in 12 contests this season. The linebacker is now up to 131 takedowns, including 2.5 sacks, and has compiled five pass deflections, an interception, a force fumble and two fumble recoveries so far in 2023.

  • Jaguars' Tyson Campbell: Logs limited practice

Campbell (quadriceps) was a limited participant at the Jaguars' practice Wednesday, Scott Petrak of the Elyria Chronicle-Telegram reports.

Campbell left Monday's contest with the Bengals a little worse for wear, suffering a quadriceps injury, but his ability to practice Wednesday is a positive sign for his chances to play Sunday against the Browns. The cornerback will have two more chances to increase his workload at practice before the end of the week.

  • Jaguars' Tre Herndon: Remains in protocols

Herndon (concussion) did not practice Wednesday, Demetrius Harvey of The Florida Times-Union reports.

Herndon's absence doesn't come as much of a surprise as he's only two days removed from suffering a concussion during Monday's loss to the Bengals. The Vanderbilt product likely has an uphill battle to be able to suit up Sunday against the Browns and will certainly need to at least log a full practice Thursday or Friday to do so.

  • Jaguars' Brenton Strange: Not over injury

Strange (toe) was a nonparticipant during practice Wednesday, Demetrius Harvey of The Florida Times-Union reports.

Strange was unable to suit up Monday against the Bengals, and the rookie tight end continues to be sidelined as the team turns its focus toward Week 14. The Penn State product will have another opportunity to get back on the field Thursday, which he may need to make happen if he's going to suit up Sunday against the Browns.

  • Jaguars' D'Ernest Johnson: Bothered by knee

Johnson was a limited participant in Wednesday's practice due to a knee injury.

Lead back Travis Etienne (ribs) also was a limited participant, two days after playing through his injury and taking 15 touches for 79 yards and a touchdown while playing 62 percent of snaps on offense in a 34-31 overtime loss to Cincinnati. Johnson had six touches for 10 yards while playing 36 percent of snaps in the loss, and he's likely looking at a similar role this Sunday against the Browns, though the Jaguars may feature their backs more than usual with wideout Christian Kirk (groin) already ruled out and quarterback Trevor Lawrence (ankle) quite possibly sidelined as well. A limited practice to start Week 14 prep suggests Johnson is on track to play, at least.

  • Jaguars' C.J. Beathard: Listed with shoulder injury

Beathard was a limited practice participant Wednesday due to an injury to his left (non-throwing) shoulder, Michael DiRocco of ESPN.com reports.

Beathard said he sustained the injury while scrambling on his first snap upon entering Monday's 34-31 overtime loss to the Bengals in place of Trevor Lawrence, who was a non-participant in practice just two days after suffering a high-ankle sprain. Before he provided an update on the nature of his injury, Beathard looked to have hurt his left wrist against the Bengals, but he didn't end up missing any snaps while completing nine of 10 pass attempts for 63 yards to go with seven yards on his lone carry. The Jaguars haven't officially ruled Lawrence out for this Sunday's game in Cleveland, but provided he can overcome his shoulder issue, the expectation is that 30-year-old Beathard will be in store for his first start since 2020, when he was a member of the 49ers. Beathard won't have the full complement of weapons if he ends up starting, as wideout Christian Kirk is expected to miss multiple weeks -- and possibly the rest of the season -- after suffering a core-muscle injury Monday.

  • Jaguars' Zay Jones: Limited in practice

Jones was a limited practice participant Wednesday due to a knee injury.

Jones was a full practice participant throughout last week before playing 93 percent of the snaps on offense in Monday's 34-31 overtime loss to the Bengals, finishing with five receptions for 78 yards on six targets. The Jaguars haven't indicated that he aggravated his knee against Cincinnati, so he may just be getting some extra maintenance after he missed six of eight games between Weeks 3 and 11 due to the knee issue. His importance to the Jaguars is heightened after Christian Kirk suffered a core-muscle injury that may require surgery, but it might be tough for Jones to repeat his season-high 78 receiving yards from Monday if he's catching passes from C.J. Beathard (shoulder) instead of Trevor Lawrence (ankle) this Sunday against the Browns.
