  • Cardinals' Elijah Jones: Third-round pickup for Arizona

The Cardinals selected Jones in the third round of the 2024 NFL Draft, 90th overall.

Jones (6-foot-2, 185 pounds) might be limited to a Cover-3 style of boundary corner as a thin prospect with a linear set of athletic traits, but in that role, he could prove to be a viable starter at the NFL level. Jones was an effective starter on a solid Boston College defense in college, and his NFL Combine testing supports the notion his skill set can continue to show up in the pros. Jones' 4.44-second 40, 42.5-inch vertical and 131-inch broad jump give him uncommon vertical range on the sideline.

  • Cardinals' Tip Reiman: Arizona adds in third round

The Cardinals selected Reiman in the third round of the 2024 NFL Draft, 82nd overall.

Reiman will likely do a lot of blocking at the pro level, and he certainly won't be stealing any targets from Trey McBride (or even Elijah Higgins), so his fantasy upside with Arizona seems pretty close to zero. With that said, Reiman could be an excellent player for real football purposes. At 6-foot-5, 271 pounds, the Illinois product is both ridiculously massive and improbably athletic for his build (4.64-second 40-yard dash). Defensive coordinators won't enjoy matching up with Reiman.

  • Cardinals' Isaiah Adams: Lands with Arizona

The Cardinals selected Adams in the third round of the 2024 NFL Draft, 71st overall.

Arizona is starting to have the makings of a solid offensive line with its investments there since 2023. Adams joins the group with a varied background from his time at Illinois where he played left guard and right tackle. With the current depth chart and Adams' experience at guard, moving inside is his likely destination for Arizona. Adams will turn 24 over the summer and is not a standout athlete, but his technical skills will help him get on the field this season.

  • Cardinals' Trey Benson: Lands with Arizona in third round

The Cardinals selected Benson in the third round of the 2024 NFL Draft, 66th overall.

Benson (6-0, 216) is the second running back off the board but has a good chance to prove superior to second-round pick Jonathon Brooks of the Panthers. Benson and Brooks have the same height/weight but Benson is significantly faster, boasting a 4.39-second 40-yard dash. Before Benson dominated at Florida State he initially enrolled at Oregon, but he transferred after struggling to return from a late-season ACL, MCL and meniscus tear in 2020. Benson needed the 2021 season to recover and get right again, but he did exactly that and blasted his way to 1,896 yards and 23 touchdowns on just 310 carries over two years with Florida State (6.1 YPC). Benson runs a bit high and durability might always be a concern with him, but there aren't many running backs who combine the power and long-range speed that Benson possesses. He should quickly establish himself as Arizona's primary backup to James Conner.

  • Cardinals' Max Melton: Heads to Arizona in second round

The Cardinals selected Melton in the second round of the 2024 NFL Draft, 43rd overall.

Brother of Bo Melton, Max Melton plays on the other side of the ball and was a terror in the Rutgers secondary for four years. He leaves Piscataway with eight career interceptions and 30 career pass breakups. Melton possesses sub-4.4 speed (4.39) and has the physicality to play press-man coverage at the next level. He has a chance to start either as a nickel or outside as a rookie.

  • Cardinals' Darius Robinson: Arizona swoops in

The Cardinals selected Robinson in the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft, 27th overall.

Robinson took some time to develop into a star at Missouri but once things clicked, they clicked in a big way. It culminated in Robinson being named first-team All-SEC as a fifth-year senior in 2023 on the strength of 8.5 sacks and 14.0 tackles for loss. At 285 pounds with offensive tackle-level arm length (34.5), he's a powerful rusher who can stand up against the run (43 tackles in 2023). Look for Robinson to challenge either Zaven Collins or BJ Ojulari for defensive end snaps right away.

  • Cardinals' Marvin Harrison: Chosen fourth overall by Arizona

The Cardinals selected Harrison in the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft, fourth overall.

Sharing the same name as his star NFL wideout father, the younger Harrison somehow heads into the NFL with even higher expectations out of Ohio State than the senior Harrison did out of Syracuse in 1996. Although not quite as fast as his father, the younger Harrison is much bigger (6-foot-3, 209 pounds) and seemingly possesses much of the same technical prowess that made the senior Harrison a Hall of Fame receiver and Peyton Manning's all-time leading target. Harrison is so technically sharp that the game looks almost effortless to him, and he brings enough speed to threaten all levels of the field on almost any play design. For the Cardinals it's a near lock that Harrison immediately establishes himself as the team's WR1, and potentially by a significant margin. Indeed, it seems like Harrison's competition for targets is tight end Trey McBride rather than the likes of wideouts Michael Wilson and Greg Dortch. There's a good chance that Harrison proves the best NFL wideout between himself and former Ohio State teammates Garrett Wilson, Chris Olave and Jaxon Smith-Njigba after logging back-to-back 1,200-yard seasons at over 10.0 yards per target the last two years.
