  • Packers' Patrick Taylor: Elevated to active roster

Taylor has been promoted to the Packers' active roster ahead of Sunday's game against the Bears, Aaron Wilson of ProFootballNetwork.com reports.

With Aaron Jones and AJ Dillon both healthy, Taylor's role in Sunday's contest will presumably just be as a special-teams contributor. It will be his 10th game on the active roster this season.

  • Packers' De'Vondre Campbell: Listed as questionable

Campbell (knee) is questionable for Sunday's game against Chicago, Matt Schneidman of The Athletic reports.

Campbell was limited during each of the Packers' three practice sessions this week, and it's not yet clear whether he'll be able to suit up Sunday. If the Packers elect to hold him out, he'd have an extra week to recover since the team has a Week 14 bye.

  • Packers' Darnell Savage: Unlikely to play Sunday

Savage (foot) is doubtful for Sunday's game against the Bears, Matt Schneidman of The Athletic reports.

Savage sustained a foot injury last week against the Eagles and underwent X-rays that came back negative. However, he'll likely be unavailable in Week 13, which should lead to increased playing time for Rudy Ford.

  • Packers' Romeo Doubs: Questionable to suit up

Doubs (ankle) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game in Chicago, Tom Silverstein of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

Dobbs returned to practice Wednesday after missing three weeks with a high-ankle sprain, and after three straight days of limited practices it's unclear if he'll miss a fourth game. It's also unclear how much playing time he'll get if he's active, as the Packers have Allen Lazard, Christian Watson and Randall Cobb all healthy ahead of Sunday's 1:00 p.m. ET kickoff. Doubs might only be the No. 4 receiver, if he avoids the inactive list.

  • Packers' AJ Dillon: Ready to face Chicago

Dillon (quadriceps) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game in Chicago, Tom Silverstein of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

Dillon and Aaron Jones (shin/glue) both are cleared to play after limited practices throughout the week. Dillon is coming off his best game since Week 1 and faces a poor defense, but Jones has consistently gotten more playing time and touches since the first few weeks of the season when the split was more even.

  • Packers' Aaron Jones: Fine for Week 13

Jones (shin/glute) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game in Chicago, Tom Silverstein of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

Neither does backfield mate AJ Dillon, who was also a limited practice participant throughout the week (with a quad injury). It's a good matchup for both against a Bears defense that lost its two best front seven players in trades earlier this season, and the Packers could favor the run more than usual with QB Aaron Rodgers (ribs/thumb) seemingly more banged up than his running backs. Rodgers also avoided a game designation, but he did mention earlier this week that he'd try to keep an open mind if the Packers fall out of the playoff hunt and want to give Jordan Love a start or two late in the season. For now, it'll be Rodgers and Jones leading the way as the Packers desperately cling to their fading wild-card hopes.

  • Packers' David Bakhtiari: Ruled out after appendectomy

Bakhtiari underwent an appendectomy Friday and has been ruled out for Sunday's game in Chicago.

Bakhtiari was starting to find his groove again after a prolonged recovery from a torn ACL he suffered in late 2020, but the veteran offensive tackle will now be sidelined due to an emergency surgery to remove his appendix. All things considered, this isn't a significant setback for Bakhtiari, but it puts Green Bay in a difficult situation. Aaron Rodgers is expected to play Sunday despite a rib injury, so protecting the superstar quarterback's blindside will be even more important against Chicago. In Bakhtiari's absence, Yosh Nijman figures to shift to the left side, while Royce Newman and Zach Tom are candidates to start at right tackle.

  • Packers' Aaron Rodgers: Cleared from injury report

Rodgers (ribs/thumb) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game against Chicago, Matt Schneidman of The Athletic reports.

He might be in pain but will get the start, just as he promised earlier this week. Rodgers managed limited practices Thursday and Friday ahead of what's essentially a must-win game against the Bears, hoping he can play through his pair of injuries and keep Green Bay in the playoff hunt. The 39-year-old (as of Friday) did say he'd try to have an "open mind" if the Packers eventually are eliminated and want to take a look at QB Jordan Love and other young players. For now, Rodgers will be relying on some of those young guys, namely rookie WR Christian Watson, who caught six TD passes (including one from Love) the past three weeks. There's also some hope for fellow rookie Romeo Doubs (ankle) to end a month-long absence, as he's been deemed questionable ahead of Sunday's 1:00 p.m. ET kickoff.

  • Packers' Aaron Rodgers: Practicing again

Rodgers (ribs/thumb) is practicing Friday, Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com reports.

Rodgers returned to practice Thursday as a limited participant and already has said he expects to play in Sunday's game against the Bears. He's reportedly been playing through an avulsion fracture in his right thumb for most of the season, but it was a rib injury that forced him out of a 40-33 loss to the Eagles in Week 12.
