Texans' Neville Hewitt: Set to play versus New York
Hewitt (hamstring) was a full participant in Friday's practice and carries no injury designation for Sunday's game against the Jets, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Hewitt was able to ramp up his practice participation after sitting out Wednesday. He's played 240 snaps on special teams across 11 games and has registered nine tackles (six tackles) for the season.

Texans' Sheldon Rankins: Questionable Sunday vs. Jets
Rankins (elbow) was a limited participant in Friday's practice and is questionable for Sunday's game against the Jets.
Rankins was able to play in last Sunday's game against the Broncos and logged 40 defensive snaps despite logging two DNPs leading up to the contest. He started out this week as a limited participant Wednesday before not participating in Thursday's practice. His limited participation Friday is a good sign that Rankins be able to play Sunday, but if he has a setback, Khalil Davis and Kurt Hinish would figure to see an increased snap count at defensive tackle alongside starter Maliek Collins.

Texans' Jimmie Ward: Cleared to face Jets
Ward (shoulder) was a full participant in Friday's practice and does not carry an injury designation ahead of Sunday's game against the Jets.
Ward sustained a shoulder injury in the Texans' Week 13 win over the Broncos. He upgraded his participation in practice throughout the week, culminating in a full session Friday, and will suit up Sunday. Ward had the crucial game-sealing interception off Russell Wilson last Sunday, and he'll look to provide further trouble for Jets quarterback Zach Wilson in Week 14.

Texans' Noah Brown: Draws questionable tag
Brown (knee) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Jets after not practicing Friday.
Brown was limited at Wednesday's practice, then logged a full session Thursday. The Texans haven't clarified whether the wideout's lack of Friday was the result of a setback or more of a maintenance-related matter, but his status is now worth tracking ahead of Sunday's 1 p.m. ET kickoff. If Brown is able to play this weekend, he'll likely be in store for a key role in the Houston passing attack after Tank Dell (lower leg) was placed on injured reserve due to the season-ending injury he suffered Week 13.

Texans' Brevin Jordan: Set to fill in for Schultz again
Jordan is expected to draw another start at tight end Sunday against the Jets with Dalton Schultz (hamstring) ruled out for a second consecutive game, Tyler Greenawalt of USA Today reports.
Jordan produced a season-high 64 receiving yards in last week's win over the Broncos, and with Schultz ruled out again, the third-year tight end will have a nice opportunity to build on that performance against the Jets. The Jets enter Week 14 tied with New Orleans for the most touchdowns allowed to tight ends this season (seven).

Texans' Dalton Schultz: Won't play Sunday
Schultz (hamstring) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Jets.
After a limited practice session Wednesday, Schultz didn't practice either Thursday or Friday and will miss a second straight game this weekend. In his absence, Brevin Jordan is once again expected to serve as Houston's top pass-catching tight end Week 14. Schultz will target a potential return to action Dec. 17 against the Titans in Week 15.

Texans' Dalton Schultz: Not practicing Friday
Schultz (hamstring) wasn't spotted at practice Friday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
After logging a limited practice Wednesday, Schultz didn't practice Thursday, so his apparent absence from Friday's session is concerning. If the tight end is ruled out ahead of Sunday's contest against the Jets, Brevin Jordan would be in line to serve as Houston's top tight end for the second week in a row.
