Chiefs' Nikko Remigio: Won't play due to shoulder injury
Remigio (shoulder) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Texans.
Remigio was listed as a limited practice participant Friday due to a shoulder issue, which is severe enough for him to miss his first game of the season. He's mostly served on special teams as a returner on punts and kickoffs, so in Remigio's absence, those duties will fall to Tyquan Thornton, Brashard Smith and Jalen Royals. Remigio will aim to progress enough in his recovery to return in Week 15 against the Chargers on Sunday, Dec. 14.

Chiefs' Noah Gray: Cleared to play Week 14
Gray (concussion/shoulder) does not carry an injury designation into Sunday's game against the Texans.
Gray entered the league's concussion protocol following the Chiefs' Week 12 loss to the Colts, which prevented him from playing in Kansas City's Thanksgiving Day loss to Dallas. The fifth-year tight end has also been working through a shoulder injury, but he's been cleared to play against Houston after logging a full practice week. Gray will return to his TE2 role behind Travis Kelce, which means less offensive snaps will be available for Robert Tonyan and Jared Wiley.

Chiefs' Christian Roland-Wallace: Remains out for Week 14
Roland-Wallace (back) has been ruled out ahead of Sunday night's matchup against the Texans, Matt McMullen of the Chiefs' official site reports.
Roland-Wallace was sidelined for Kansas City's Week 13 loss to the Cowboys and didn't practice Wednesday or Thursday, so it's no surprise that he'll miss Sunday's contest. Expect Nohl Williams to operate as the Chiefs' top slot corner while Roland-Wallace remains out Week 14.
