    This looks like a good spot to fade Ryan Weathers who has been inconsistent from the mound this season. He’ll face a Pirates lineup that has been exceptional both in the short term and over the duration of the entire season. Pittsburgh’s lineup ranks 2nd in Weighted On Base Average both on the year and over the last 30 days. Meanwhile Weathers has failed to eclipse this number in his last three outings.

    Analysis

    Braxton Ashcraft regressing a bit lately and the Pirates on the road has given us a great price on a struggling Yankees lineup. Yes, Ashcraft has given up some runs in 2 of his last 3 starts, but he's been steady all season and he gets the stagnant Yankees bats. The Pirates have been scoring runs and they get Ryan Weathers who hasn't been great and who should give up a few in the First Five.

    Analysis

    Tampa Bay...we have a problem. That was an embarrassing weekend sweep for the team at the top of the American League East at the hands of the Red Sox. Now the Rays have to go against All-Star starter Dylan Cease and the underachieving Blue Jays. Fortunately for Tampa Bay, starter Nick Martinez was also an All-Star and is 8-2 with a 2.65 ERA on the season. His ERA is actually a run lower on the road than at home. Plus the Rays are 5-1 against their division rivals thus far this season. Give me Tampa Bay at plus-money on Monday.

    Analysis

    I still might fade the Dodgers in Game 2 of today/tonight's doubleheader at Yankee Stadium but waiting to see how Game 1 finishes first. Regardless, L.A. will be in a horrible double-whammy spot Monday off a doubleheader AND the Sunday night game with travel. And it's Phils ace Cristopher Sanchez, who is 7-1 with a 0.86 ERA at home. Philly is getting pounded at home as we speak by the other New York team, but that's just fine because it means no high-leverage relievers will be used (barring a comeback).

    Analysis

    Jameson Taillon hasn't pitched since June 7th, and it's just his luck that Monday's forecast at Wrigley Field has the wind blowing straight out to center-field at 15 mph and 85° with a 23% chance of rain. Taillon, with his 5.19 ERA, probably didn't get much sleep knowing that he's coming back to the wind blowing out hard at Wrigley. We’ve got the Tigers and Cubs both hitting the ball extremely well at the moment, and I could see a 9-6 game quite easily in this pitching matchup that includes Jack Flaherty. The Tigers likely win, but the game going over is a much better play.
