Cleveland’s main quarterback reps go to Deshaun Watson, Shedeur Sanders and Dillon Gabriel, but Green’s late snaps add explosive potential. Miller Moss, by contrast, is a pocket passer behind Chicago’s backups and sits behind Caleb Williams, Tyson Bagent and Case Keenum. Most preseason games are decided in the fourth quarter. Cleveland’s quarterback depth and the drive of new coach Todd Monken, who served under John Harbaugh—a coach known for valuing preseason wins, give the Browns a clear advantage. Monken served as the Browns' offensive coordinator in 2019 and now returns for his second stint.

    Analysis

    This won't be a typical preseason game for the Bills because they will christen the new Highmark Stadium on Saturday against Carolina, and Josh Allen will play a couple of series apparently. The Panthers do have the edge of a game under their belts and beat Arizona last Thursday but otherwise had been a terrible preseason bet the past few years. It's the Buffalo head coaching debut of Joe Brady, and new HCs generally tend to try and instill a winning culture immediately even in a meaningless game.

    Analysis

    This is no ordinary exhibition game. The Bills open their new stadium, which should raise the excitement level well above a normal preseason atmosphere. Buffalo’s Joe Brady would welcome a win to launch his head coaching career and will use QB Josh Allen, and most starters. Carolina counters with its regular QB, Bryce Young, but coach Dave Canales projects starters to be done within the first 20 plays. The Panthers got their W on neutral grounds at the Hall of Fame game and travel for the second straight week. Motivation sits squarely with the home side.

    Analysis

    This is a bit higher than I'd prefer and since it's not parlay day for me I'd say -1 would be pretty solid (just assume that's what I'm doing -- or not bat bottom 9 -- at anything north of -150 if not a parlay). But I'm fine with this. The Cubbies trashed Cards pitcher Michael McGreevy a few weeks ago. Not sure I'd recommend NRFI here ... although winds are blowing in at Wrigley and rain is in the forecast.

    Analysis

    “Preseason” Sean McVay should never be mistaken for “regular season” McVay. The accomplished L.A. coach is 11-16 SU in exhibitions, a stark contrast to his 92-57 ledger in games that count. He even hands off play-calling duties to assistants in the summer. While QB Stetson Bennett has done well in recent exhibitions, he remains without a regular season snap, an indication of his worth. He will share time here with rookie Ty Simpson. Kansas City counters with veteran Justin Fields. Though the Chiefs have not won outright in the preseason since 2024, coach Andy Reid stands 21-22 SU overall in K.C.
