49ers' Arik Armstead: Ready for playoffs
Armstead (foot/ankle) doesn't have a designation for Saturday's wild-card matchup versus the Seahawks.
Armstead has dealt with a persistent foot/ankle dating back to Week 2. While he was once again limited during the first two practices heading into Saturday, the 29-year-old will be ready to suit up for his seventh game in a row after logging a full session Thursday. Armstead should continue to serve a prominent role on the interior of San Francisco's defensive line alongside Javon Kinlaw (knee), who also does not carry a designation leading into the first round of the playoffs.

49ers' Arik Armstead: Limited again Wednesday
Armstead (ankle) logged his second straight limited practice session Wednesday ahead of San Francisco's wild-card game against the Seahawks on Saturday.
Armstead has been dealing with a foot/ankle issue for much of the campaign, though he was able to play in each of the 49ers' contests between Week 13 and 18. He has opened the practice week with back-to-back limited sessions, as he has done every week since Week 13. That suggests he'll probably be ready for Saturday's wild-card contest against Seattle, during which he'll likely handle his usual starting role along the defensive line.

49ers' Arik Armstead: Still on injury report Tuesday
Armstead (ankle) was a limited participant during the 49ers' practice Tuesday.
Armstead will once again open San Francisco's week of practice with an injury designation. The 29-year-old previously missed seven consecutive games while dealing with these foot and ankle injuries, though he suited up during each of the final six weeks of the regular season. Fellow defensive tackle Javon Kinlaw (knee) was also a limited participant Tuesday, though, barring additional setbacks, it's likely both he and Armstead will be available for Saturday's wild-card game against the Seahawks.

49ers' Arik Armstead: Will play Sunday
Armstead (foot/ankle) is active Sunday against the Cardinals, Matt Maiocco of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.
Armstead has been dealing with the injury throughout the season, but he'll continue to play through it. His ability to take the field once again should be good news for the 49ers' defensive front.

49ers' Arik Armstead: Status up in the air Week 18
Armstead (foot/ankle) has been deemed questionable for Sunday's game against the Cardinals.
Armstead has been tending to a foot/ankle injury for almost the entire season, though he's played over 60 percent of defensive snaps in each of San Francisco's past four games. The 29-year-old opened Week 18 prep with back-to-back limited practices before sitting the entirety of Friday's sessions. With Kevin Givens (knee) remaining out and Javon Kinlaw (knee) also considered questionable to play, it's possible San Francisco could be down to just one healthy defensive tackle in T.Y. McGill if Kalia Davis (undisclosed) is not activated from the reserve/non-football list before Sunday.

49ers' Arik Armstead: No injury designation
Armstead (foot/ankle) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's matchup against Tampa Bay, Nick Wagoner of ESPN.com reports.
Armstead was limited during the first two practices of Week 14 prep due to foot and ankle injuries, but he was upgraded to a full participant Friday and is good to go for Sunday. The veteran defensive lineman returned from a six-game absence in Week 13 but didn't record a tackle across 20 plays. Armstead likely remains off the IDP radar as long as he's playing fewer than half of the 49ers' defensive snaps.

49ers' Arik Armstead: Logs partial practice
Armstead (foot/ankle) was limited in Wednesday's practice, Eric Branch of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
Armstead made his return from a seven-game absence streak this past Sunday against the Dolphins due to a foot/ankle injury, but he ultimately failed to record any stats on just 20 defensive snaps played in the contest. The 29-year-old's ability to participate in Wednesday's session in any capacity puts him on track to suit up again this weekend versus Tampa Bay, though he could see his snaps capped for a second consecutive matchup.
