Steelers' Jonathan Ward: Elevated for Week 5
Pittsburgh elevated Ward from the practice squad to the active roster Saturday.
Ward didn't make the Steelers' 53-man roster at the end of training camp, but the 27-year-old running back opted to stick around on the practice squad. This will be his first elevation of the season, and he could see immediate work Sunday against the Cowboys due to Jaylen Warren (knee) and Cordarrelle Patterson (ankle) both being ruled out for that game. Ward will serve as the Steelers' No.3 running back behind Najee Harris and Aaron Shampklin.

Steelers' Brandon Johnson: Elevated from practice squad
The Steelers elevated Johnson from the practice squad to the active roster Saturday.
Johnson signed with the Steelers' practice squad in late August after failing to make the Broncos' 53-man roster at the conclusion of training camp. With Denver last season, Johnson registered 19 catches (on 30 targets) for 284 yards and four touchdowns across 13 regular-season games.

Ogunjobi popped up on the Steelers' injury report Thursday due to a groin issue, but that doesn't appear to be bothering him enough to put his status for Sunday's game in question. In the Steelers' Week 4 loss to the Colts, Ogunjobi tallied six tackles (three solo), including 0.5 sacks.

Wilson (calf) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Cowboys, Teresa Varley of the Steelers' official site reports.
Wilson remained a limited practice participant this past week, though the QB, who has resumed mixing into 11-on-11 drills, noted that he's "definitely ramping it up. It's been good. I feel great, and I just keep getting better every day." As Sunday's contest approaches, Justin Fields is poised to make his fifth straight start for the Steelers, while it remains to be seen if Wilson is ready to back him up or will remain inactive as the team's emergency No. 3 quarterback this weekend.

Steelers' Jaylen Warren: Expected to miss Week 5
Warren (knee) is not expected to suit up for Sunday's game against the Cowboys, Nick Farabaugh of PennLive.com reports.
Warren was unable to practice Wednesday and Thursday, and it looks like he's trending toward a second consecutive missed game due to the knee injury he picked up Week 3. With Cordarrelle Patterson (ankle) also having missed practice Wednesday and Thursday, Aaron Shampklin and practice squad player Jonathan Ward look destined for increased work behind Najee Harris versus Dallas. Friday's injury report will reveal whether Warren officially is ruled out for Week 5, or whether the Steelers will give him a chance to prove his health over the weekend.
