Texans' Lonnie Johnson : Joins old squad
Johnson (knee) agreed to a one-year, $2.5 million contract with the Texans on Wednesday, Logan Farlow of USA Today reports.
Johnson will return to Houston, where he spent the first three seasons of his career before suiting up for the Titans and Saints the last two years. The 28-year-old appeared in 12 games with New Orleans last season, missing time due to a knee injury and seeing more work on special teams than in the secondary. He'll likely be in line for a similar role with the Texans.

The Saints didn't hold an official practice Monday, so Johnson's status is only an estimate; however, Katherine Terrell of ESPN.com reports that the Kentucky product is more week-to-week and his return this season is up in the air. Considering New Orleans is on a short week with a matchup against the Rams on Thursday, it would seem Johnson is unlikely to play, but his participation level Tuesday and Wednesday should offer more insight.
