Dell caught all four of his targets for 38 yards and rushed once for minus-5 yards in Sunday's 23-20 win over the Bills.
Dell returned from a one-game absence due to a chest injury but continued to play a much smaller role compared to his rookie season in 2023. He's averaging just 31.8 receiving yards per game and has yet to score a touchdown in 2024 after posting 64.5 receiving yards and scoring seven touchdowns in 11 appearances last season. Dell could see some extra volume against the Patriots in Week 6 if Nico Collins (hamstring) doesn't play after leaving Sunday's win over the Bills, which may present an opportunity for Dell to shake off his slow start.

His return to practice, even in a limited capacity, lends credence to reports from earlier this week suggesting Dell is expected to return for Sunday's game against Buffalo. He didn't practice last week and ended up missing a win over the Jaguars, which allowed Robert Woods to fill in as a seldom-targeted No. 3 receiver alongside Nico Collins and Stefon Diggs. The No. 3 role demands more usage when Dell is filling it, but he's seen his volume suffer considerably while sharing the field with Diggs and Collins this year, drawing targets on just 16.5 percent of his routes, down from 24.5 percent as a rookie.

Dell emerged from last Sunday's loss at Minnesota with soreness, which was clarified to be a chest issue on the Texans' first injury report of Week 4 prep. However, with two straight absences to begin Week 4 prep, Dell doesn't seem to be tracking toward playing against Jacksonville while he contends with the injury, which he sustained late in last Sunday's 34-7 loss to the Vikings. Dell also emerged from the contest with a hand injury, but the Texans list him only with a chest issue on the official Week 4 injury report. Dell also got his wrist/hand banged up late in Sunday's game, but it looks like the second-year pro has escaped a rough Week 3 with only discomfort.
