Flames' Zach Whitecloud: Good to go
Whitecloud (upper body) will return to the lineup against the Islanders on Saturday.
Following a three-game absence, Whitecloud is poised to occupy a top-four role and should see time on the penalty kill. He has earned four assists, 17 shots on goal, 28 blocked shots and 25 hits in 14 games with Calgary since being acquired from Vegas on Jan. 18.

Flames' Devin Cooley: Tending twine Saturday
Cooley will be between the visiting pipes versus the Islanders on Saturday, Derek Wills of Sportsnet 960 The Fan reports.
Cooley was burned for six goals on 28 shots in a 7-3 loss in Washington on Monday and will attempt to make amends versus the Islanders. Cooley is 7-8-4 with a very good 2.45 GAA and an impressive .917 save percentage across 23 appearances this season. The Islanders dropped a 3-2 decision to Los Angeles on Friday and sit in third place in the Metropolitan Division with 79 points, two ahead of the fourth-place Blue Jackets.

Flames' Justin Kirkland: Two goals in AHL win
Kirkland scored twice in AHL Calgary's 7-2 win over Manitoba on Friday.
Kirkland has four goals over four games in March. The 29-year-old forward has been in the AHL since the start of February after a stint with the Flames. He has 15 points through 28 appearances at the AHL level overall this season.

Flames' Aydar Suniev: Puts up three points Friday
Suniev scored twice and added an assist in AHL Calgary's 7-2 win over Manitoba on Friday.
Suniev has five goals and an assist over his last seven contests. The 21-year-old forward has scored fairly well this season, earning 15 goals in 47 appearances, but he's added just four assists with a minus-22 rating. He'll need to improve his all-around performance to push for a spot with the Flames.

Flames' Andrew Basha: Three points for Tigers in win
Basha scored a goal and logged two assists in WHL Medicine Hat's 6-3 win over Lethbridge on Friday.
Basha had gone two games without a point after a 13-game point streak. He bounced back with a big game Friday to help lead the Tigers to a win. The 20-year-old winger is up to 15 goals, 44 points and a plus-20 rating across 29 appearances with Medicine Hat this season.

Flames' Brayden Pachal: Nabs assist in win
Pachal posted an assist, four hits and a plus-2 rating in Thursday's 5-4 win over the Devils.
Pachal has played in five straight contests. He has received an uptick in usage after the Flames dealt MacKenzie Weegar to the Mammoth, though Pachal's role is far from safe with younger options in Zayne Parekh and Hunter Brzustewicz competing for minutes. Through 32 outings this season, Pachal has four assists, 24 shots on net, 79 hits, 27 blocked shots, 43 PIM and a plus-2 rating, primarily from a third-pairing role.

Flames' Adam Klapka: Adds assist in win
Klapka notched an assist and six hits in Thursday's 5-4 win over the Devils.
Klapka has earned two helpers over seven contests in March. The 25-year-old forward is filling a bottom-six role with minimal power-play usage, so he isn't exactly in a position to pile up points, especially on a low-scoring team. Klapka has 14 points, 65 shots on net, 247 hits, 42 blocked shots, 97 PIM and a minus-8 rating through 64 outings this season, offering physicality and little else.

Flames' Victor Olofsson: Picks up helper for new team
Olofsson notched an assist and went plus-2 in Thursday's 5-4 win over the Devils.
Olofsson was dealt from the Avalanche at the trade deadline, and few players who were moved took as much of a hit to their fantasy value. He is playing regularly on the Flames' third line, but the team's lack of offense is likely to limit his offense. The helper was Olofsson's first point in three games with the Flames. He's at 26 points, 112 shots on net and a plus-6 rating over 63 appearances on the year.

Flames' Mikael Backlund: Lights lamp in win
Backlund scored a goal on three shots in Thursday's 5-4 win over New Jersey.
Backlund netted the eventual game-winning goal early in Thursday's third period to place the Flames up 5-2. With his tally, the 36-year-old center is up to 14 goals, 37 points and 155 shots on net through 65 games this season. Following the departure of Nazem Kadri at the trade deadline, Backlund now holds the keys to Calgary's top six. He has two points in his last three games and could provide decent value in deep fantasy leagues for the remainder of the regular season.

Flames' Yegor Sharangovich: Pots goal Thursday
Sharangovich tallied a goal and put two shots on net in Thursday's 5-4 win over New Jersey.
Sharangovich scored late in Thursday's second period to place the Flames in front by two tallies. With the twine finder, he is up to 14 goals, 24 points, 115 shots on net and 27 blocked shots across 61 games this season. The 27-year-old winger is off to a hot start in March with three goals, an assist and nine shots on net across seven games. He's just two seasons removed from a 31-goal campaign and could prove to be a solid goal-scorer for the Flames down the stretch. He currently holds solid streaming value in deep fantasy leagues for the time being.

Flames' Kevin Bahl: Finds twine in win
Bahl scored a goal, placed two shots on net, blocked two shots and dished out two hits in Thursday's 5-4 win over New Jersey.
Bahl doubled the Flames' lead at 14:07 of the first period with a goal assisted by new defensive partner, Olli Maatta. The twine finder brought Bahl up to four goals, 15 points, 56 shots on net, 94 hits and 92 blocked shots over 64 games this season. His second season with the Flames has him on track to post similar totals to his first year in Calgary. If he can compile five points down the stretch, he'll match his career high of 20, which he posted across 73 games a year ago.

Flames' John Beecher: Nets pair of goals Thursday
Beecher tallied two goals, including one while shorthanded, fired four shots on net and recorded three blocked shots in Thursday's 5-4 win over New Jersey.
Beecher posted his best offensive outing of the season with two goals in the first 21 minutes of Thursday's contest. The second of the two tallies came at a man disadvantage and placed the Flames up by two goals early in the second period. With the pair of goals, the 24-year-old center has three goals, six points, 31 shots on net, 20 hits and 26 blocked shots across 31 games between the Bruins and Flames this season. In six contests following the Olympic break, he has three points, 10 shots on goal and eight blocked shots. He should continue to serve as Calgary's fourth-line center for the remainder of the season.

Flames' Dustin Wolf: Yields four goals in win
Wolf stopped 28 of 32 shots on net in Thursday's 5-4 win over New Jersey.
Wolf allowed just one goal in each period Thursday until New Jersey's Luke Hughes added a fourth goal with four seconds remaining in the contest. With the win, Wolf is up to a 19-24-3 record, a 3.04 GAA and an .896 save percentage across 47 outings this season. While he's been able to work his way into the win column in two of his last four appearances, he's allowed four goals in each of those outings. The uptick in goals allowed could be attributed to his heavy workload, as he ranks third among all goaltenders in games played this season. Despite his recent GAA, Wolf tends to face a steady stream of shots each game and usually produces 25-plus save outings, giving him good fantasy value in leagues that track saves.

Flames' Dustin Wolf: Receives starting nod Thursday
Wolf will patrol the road crease in Thursday's clash with New Jersey, per Pat Steinberg of Sportsnet 960 The Fan.
Wolf will draw his second consecutive start Thursday after allowing four goals in his most recent outing. Since the Olympic break, the 24-year-old netminder has posted a 2-3-0 record, a 3.18 GAA and a .904 save percentage across five appearances. Overall, he has an 18-24-3 record, a 3.02 GAA and an .896 save percentage across 46 appearances this season. He's been a workhorse for Calgary this season, but will draw a solid matchup Thursday against New Jersey's offense, which ranks 30th in the league with 2.53 GAA this season. The matchup primes Wolf as a solid bounce-back candidate, giving him decent value across most fantasy formats.

Flames' Tyson Gross: Signs with Flames
Gross inked an entry-level contract with Calgary on Thursday, per Eric Francis of Sportsnet.
Gross spent three seasons at St. Cloud State, tallying 18 goals and 23 assists in 36 NCAA games this season. The undrafted free agent was considered the most sought after free agent from the college ranks this season.

Flames' Dustin Wolf: Yields four goals in loss
Wolf stopped 25 of 29 shots in Tuesday's 4-0 loss to the Rangers.
While Calgary's offense stalled Tuesday, Wolf fell to the three-goal effort of New York's Alexis Lafreniere, who scored one goal in each period. With the loss, Wolf now holds an 18-24-3 record, a 3.02 GAA and an .896 save percentage across 46 games played this season. While he got off to a strong start following the Olympic break, the 24-year-old netminder has allowed four goals in each of his last three games. He has showcased plenty of upside for the future, but with the state of Calgary's offense, Wolf has become a depth matchup-based option for most fantasy managers. His next chance to bounce back could come Thursday in New Jersey.
