  • Golden Knights' Logan Thompson: Stops 39 in win

Thompson turned aside 39 of 40 shots in Thursday's 4-1 victory over the Jets.

Thompson was excellent Thursday, allowing a lone Sean Monahan tally in the second period while facing 40 Winnipeg shots. The 27-year-old Thompson has been on quite a run, winning four straight while holding opponents to a single goal in each outing. He improves to 21-12-5 on the campaign with a .909 save percentage and 2.68 GAA this season. With Adin Hill (undisclosed) nursing an injury, Thompson figures to be back between the pipes Saturday in Minnesota.

  • Golden Knights' Alex Pietrangelo: Out again Thursday

Pietrangelo (illness) isn't in the lineup for Thursday's game versus the Jets, Ryan Wallis of Fox Sports Las Vegas reports.

Pietrangelo isn't on the Golden Knights' road trip, so it's looking doubtful he'll play Saturday in Minnesota as well. The 34-year-old will miss his sixth game in a row Thursday. Ben Hutton continues to occupy a third-pairing role in Pietrangelo's absence.

Carrier was also absent for Tuesday's 5-4 overtime loss to Nashville. He has six goals, eight points and 89 hits in 39 appearances in 2023-24. Carrier will likely serve in a bottom-six capacity once he recovers.

Thompson is slated to start in goal on the road against the Jets on Thursday, Danny Webster of the Las Vegas Review-Journal reports.

Thompson was excellent in his last appearance Monday against the Blues, stopping 31 of 32 shots en route to a 2-1 victory. He'll try to secure his 21st win of the season in a tough road matchup with a Winnipeg team that's been great at home this year, going 23-9-3 in the Canada Life Centre.

  • Golden Knights' Paul Cotter: Gets on scoresheet with helper

Cotter notched an assist, two shots on goal, two PIM and a plus-2 rating in Tuesday's 5-4 overtime loss to the Predators.

Cotter had been scratched for five of the previous six games, but he got into the lineup when William Carrier (upper body) couldn't play Tuesday. The helper snapped a five-game slump for Cotter. The 24-year-old forward has 23 points, 95 shots on net, 205 hits, 41 PIM and a minus-8 rating through 66 contests, but he doesn't have a guaranteed spot in the lineup when the Golden Knights are at or near full health up front.

  • Golden Knights' Noah Hanifin: Garners assist Tuesday

Hanifin logged an assist and two hits in Tuesday's 5-4 overtime loss to the Predators.

Hanifin has five helpers over 10 contests with the Golden Knights, giving him 40 points through 71 games on the year when accounting for his time with the Flames. He's added 147 shots on net, 58 hits and 102 blocked shots.

Stephenson notched an assist in Tuesday's 5-4 overtime loss to the Predators.

Overall, he's at 45 points, 93 shots on net and a minus-10 rating through 68 appearances while seeing ice time in all situations.

The 29-year-old played on a line with William Karlsson and Pavel Dorofeyev in Tuesday's contest. Mantha is up to 39 points, 103 shots on net, 44 hits and a plus-7 rating through 66 contests between Vegas and Washington this season.

The 25-year-old forward has 16 points, 70 shots on net, 72 hits, 47 blocked shots, 31 PIM and a minus-9 rating through 62 outings. His scoring upside is limited, but he can add a little sandpaper for fantasy managers in deep formats.

Patera made 30 saves on 35 shots in a 5-4 overtime loss to the Predators on Tuesday.

The Golden Knights found themselves up 3-0 in the first period but the Predators battled back as they scored four goals in the final two frames, including three consecutive in the third. It was Patera's first start since Jan. 10 as he battles with fellow netminder Logan Thompson for playing time.
