Carlsson was scratched for the previous two games as part of his development plan. The center responded with 21:26 of ice time Thursday, the fourth time he's exceeded 20 minutes in a game this season. The Ducks haven't been abundantly clear as to when he plays or sits, but he's worth getting into fantasy lineups when he suits up.

He's often been paired with Cam Fowler when in the lineup, though Luneau will still need to stay out of the press box to build up enough momentum to help in fantasy.

Gibson couldn't contain a bottom-five offense that was playing the second half of a back-to-back. The 30-year-old netminder has now lost his last six decisions amid the Ducks' eight-game losing streak as a team. This was his ugliest outing in that stretch. Strome got the Ducks on the board in the second period, but his tally was all the scoring they could muster against Thatcher Demko. Gibson has lost five of his last six outings, with the lone exception being a relief appearance in which he didn't record a decision. Brock Boeser scored in the first period and Elias Pettersson had the decisive goal early in the third. Gibson's down to 4-9-0 with a 2.64 GAA and a .912 save percentage. He's trending in the wrong direction after a solid first month of the season, but Lukas Dostal has struggled in limited action lately, so Gibson's starting role is not in question.
