The 21-year-old has emerged as some needed depth at defense for the Blackhawks. In his past 13 games, Kaiser has recorded three assists and six shots on goal. His defensive play has also been stellar providing 15 blocked shots and nine hits. He will continue to play with newcomer Isaak Phillips on the third defensive pairing.

Blackhawks' Anthony Beauvillier: Joins Blackhawks' practice
Beauvillier, who couldn't play in Thursday's 5-1 loss to Detroit because of visa issues, has joined the Blackhawks in Winnipeg and participated in Friday's practice, Ben Pope of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.
Chicago acquired Beauvillier from Vancouver on Tuesday. He practiced on the top line with Connor Bedard and Philipp Kurashev on Friday, so that will likely be his role if he's available to make his Blackhawks debut Saturday against the Jets. It's a huge opportunity for Beauvillier, who had two goals and six points in 22 games while averaging just 13:39 of ice time with the Canucks before the trade.

Blackhawks' Petr Mrazek: Falls to former club
Mrazek stopped 24 shots in Thursday's 5-1 loss to the Red Wings.
Special teams were the difference in this one, as two of Detroit's goals came on power plays while a third was scored shorthanded. It's Mrazek's fourth regulation loss in his last five outings, and the 31-year-old netminder hasn't allowed fewer than three goals in a start since Nov. 4, posting a shaky 3.71 GAA and .884 save percentage on the month. Arvid Soderblom isn't playing any better, however, so the duo will likely continue to split the workload in the crease for a rebuilding Chicago squad.

Guttman is set to miss his second straight game due to the injury. He has a goal and five blocked shots in five top-level contests this season. When Guttman's ready to return, it will likely be as a member of the fourth line.

Blackhawks' Anthony Beauvillier: Dealing with visa issues
Beauvillier, who was acquired by Chicago from Vancouver on Tuesday, isn't available for Thursday's game against Detroit due to visa issues, Charlie Roumeliotis of NBC Sports Chicago reports.
The Blackhawks are hoping Beauvillier can join the team in Winnipeg ahead of Saturday's contest against the Jets. He picked up two goals and eight points in 22 outings with Vancouver before being dealt to Chicago. Beauvillier was averaging just 13:39 of ice time before the trade but should see increased responsibilities in Chicago.

Mrazek has surrendered at least three goals in each of his last five contests. He's 5-6-0 with a 3.22 GAA and a .906 save percentage in 12 appearances this season. Blackhawks' Petr Mrazek: Makes 33 saves in home victory
Mrazek allowed three goals on 36 shots in Tuesday's 4-3 victory against the Kraken.
Mrazek allowed a shorthanded marker late in the second period in a little bit of a lack of focus, and the game was tied 2-2 after 20 minutes. However, Tyler Johnson and Mackenzie Entwistle bailed him out with a pair of second-period goals, and Chicago never looked back. The victory was his first since Nov. 9 in Tampa Bay and ended Mrazek's three-game personal losing streak.

He has a goal and an assist in the past two contests, and the game-winning goal was the first of his NHL career.

Anderson, who was very thankful to get recalled from AHL Rockford on Thanksgiving, was named as the first star of the game. He ended up with a plus-2 rating and a shot on goal in 13:46 of ice time across 17 shifts. It was Anderson's first mult-point game since posting a goal and an assist against the Bruins on March 22, 2023. He has three helpers in three games since being summoned from the minors.
