Stars' Luke Glendening: Still searching for offense
Glendening has gone 34 games without a point.
That's a lengthy drought, even for a player who is firmly in a fourth-line role. Glendening hasn't gotten on the scoresheet since he had two assists versus the Panthers on Nov. 17. During his drought, the forward has 40 PIM, 57 hits and 35 blocked shots -- his grit and defensive play will keep him in the lineup, but fantasy managers can safely ignore a player with four points through 51 outings overall.... Oettinger allowed three goals on 29 shots in Friday's 3-2 overtime loss to the Devils.
This was Oettinger's third straight overtime loss, and he's allowed three goals in each contest. The Stars' struggles past regulation time are a bit confusing -- they're otherwise a very effective team and currently lead the Central Division with 66 points from 51 games. Oettinger slipped to 21-7-7 with a 2.26 GAA and a .923 save percentage through 38 appearances. His seven overtime losses are second to only the Flyers' Carter Hart this season. He set up Jamie Benn on the opening goal. Hintz played on the second line Monday, but it's a safe bet he'll eventually rejoin Jason Robertson and Joe Pavelski on the top line at some point, even though Tyler Seguin filled that spot well in Hintz's absence. For the season, the 26-year-old Hintz has 19 goals, 26 helpers, 98 shots on net and a plus-23 rating through 41 outings.... See More ... See Less
