The Texans signed Wayne to a reserve/future contract Monday.
Wayne was placed on Houston's practice squad injured list in early December but is evidently healthy enough to sign a deal and go into the offseason with the Texans. Undrafted out of Pittsburgh in 2023, he spent most of the season on Houston's practice squad after failing to catch a pass during the preseason.

Wayne (undisclosed) was placed on the Texans' practice squad injured list Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Wayne will now be unable to practice with the team for at least the next four weeks. In a corresponding move, Houston signed fellow wideout Davion Davis to its practice squad.

Wayne signed with Houston's practice squad Friday.
Wayne was released from Houston's practice squad earlier in November but has linked back up with the Texans organization. The 23-year-old wide receiver out of Pittsburgh has yet to make his NFL debut.
