  • Texans' Laremy Tunsil: Could return this week

Tunsil (knee) is improving enough that there's optimism he could play Sunday against the Falcons, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports. Tunsil has missed each of the team's last three games as he continues to recover from his injury. His return would certainly be a big boost to the Texans' offensive line, which has been peppered by injuries to start the 2023 campaign. His practice status throughout the week will be worth monitoring as momentum for his return builds.

  • Texans' Laremy Tunsil: Expected to sit out again

Tunsil (knee) will likely be ruled out for Sunday's game against Pittsburgh, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports. Tunsil has been dealing with a persistent knee injury that kept him sidelined each of the past two weeks. The three-time Pro Bowler has been a stalwart on the left side of Houston's offensive line over the past five seasons, so his absence will leave quarterback C.J. Stroud without perhaps his best offensive lineman against Pittsburgh's hounding defensive front. With Josh Jones (hand) also expected to sit out Week 4, it's likely that Houston may opt to elevate someone from the practice squad to help supplement this depleted offensive line.

  • Texans' Laremy Tunsil: Listed as questionable

Tunsil (knee) is considered questionable for Sunday's game against the Jaguars. Tunsil practiced in limited fashion all week and is looking like a true game-time decsion. He sat out the Texans' Week 2 game against the Colts and is in danger of missing another. If he does indeed sit out, Josh Jones would likely replace him on the offensive line.

  • Texans' Laremy Tunsil: Practices Wednesday

Tunsil (knee) was an active participant at the Texans' practice Wednesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports. Tunsil returned to practice Wednesday after missing Sunday's 31-20 loss to the Colts with a knee injury. It's unclear how much of a workload the left tackle had at practice, but his ability to give it a go at all bodes well for his chances to return in Week 3 against the Jaguars.

  • Texans' Laremy Tunsil: Still not 100 percent

Tunsil (knee) carries a day-to-day status heading into the practice week, Brooks Kubena of the Houston Chronicle reports. Tunsil was unable to play in Sunday's loss to the Colts and should be considered questionable for Week 3 against the Jaguars. His practice status in the days ahead will be worth monitoring after he was unable to participate Friday. If he can suit up against Jacksonville, it'd be a big boost to the Texans' offensive line, which allowed six sacks to the Colts and only facilitated 52 rushing yards on 26 carries for Houston's running backs.

  • Texans' Laremy Tunsil: Likely to be out

Tunsil (knee) is expected to be inactive Sunday against the Colts, DJ Bien-Aime of ESPN.com reports. Tunsil's absence would be a significant blow to Houston's offensive line, which is already missing Tytus Howard (hand), Juice Scruggs (hamstring) and Kenyon Green (shoulder), who were expected to be starters this season. Assuming Tunsil is out, Josh Jones is expected to move from left guard to tackle, though it's not clear who would start at guard.

Tunsil agreed to terms with the Texans on a three-year, $75 million deal Sunday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
