  • Devin Asiasi: Signs with Tennessee

The Titans signed Asiasi to the practice squad Tuesday, Cameron Wolfe of NFL Network reports. Asiasi gives Tennessee depth behind Chigoziem Okonkwo, Josh Whyle, Trevon Wesco and Kevin Rader. Wesco missed Week 16 with a shin injury. 26-year-old Asiasi was a 2020 third-round pick by New England and has four career catches for 44 yards and one touchdown.

  • Devin Asiasi: Cut from Browns' practice squad

Cleveland cut Asiasi from its practice squad Tuesday. The Browns originally brought Asiasi onto their practice squad ahead of Week 4 versus Baltimore, but they never elevated him to the active roster, and now they've decided to part ways with him ahead of Week 10. Provided he's not claimed by another team during the current waiver period, he's on track to once again become a free agent.

  • Devin Asiasi: Gets new opportunity

Asiasi is signing with the Browns' practice squad Monday, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports. Asiasi appeared in 12 games with the Bengals last season and was also with the team during training camp. Ultimately, he was unable to make the team's final 53-man roster. He'll now get to stay in the AFC North and work to earn a spot on Cleveland's active roster from the practice squad.

  • Devin Asiasi: Won't make squad

Asiasi was waived by the Bengals on Tuesday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports. Asiasi suited up 12 times for the Bengals last season, making two catches on four targets for five yards. The UCLA product has struggled to get his career going, partially due to injuries, since being selected in the third round of the 2020 Draft by the Patriots.

  • Bengals' Devin Asiasi: Healthy scratch for Week 18

Asiasi (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's matchup against the Ravens. Asiasi is a healthy scratch for the Bengals' regular-season finale. Over his previous seven appearances, he's played 132 offensive snaps, but he's caught only two of three targets for five yards during that stretch. Mitchell Wilcox and Hayden Hurst, who'll be making his first appearance since Week 13, will be Cincinnati's only available tight ends with Asiasi inactive.

  • Bengals' Devin Asiasi: Questionable Week 5

Asiasi (ankle) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Ravens. The 25-year-old suffered the ankle injury last Thursday against the Dolphins and was a limited participant at practice the past two days. Asiasi has appeared in two games so far this season and failed to catch his lone target.

  • Bengals' Devin Asiasi: Injures left ankle

Asiasi (ankle) was seen in a walking boot following Thursday's victory over the Dolphins, Ben Baby of ESPN.com reports. Asiasi didn't return to the game Thursday after he went down with a left ankle injury, and his status is now in question heading into Week 5. More information on his status will likely be provided early next week. If Asiasi ends up missing any action, Mitchell Wilcox will likely operate as the lone reserve option behind Hayden Hurst at tight end.

  • Bengals' Devin Asiasi: Logs full practice Wednesday

Asiasi (quadriceps) was a full participant during Wednesday's practice, Jay Morrison of The Athletic reports. Asiasi has yet to play this season due to a lingering quadriceps issue, but he appears healthy ahead of Week 3. The Bengals are likely to place Drew Sample (knee) on injured reserve soon after news dropped that he'll miss a couple months, so Asiasi figures to compete with Mitchell Wilcox for the primary backup spot behind Hayden Hurst.

  • Bengals' Devin Asiasi: Inactive Sunday

Asiasi (quadriceps) was deemed inactive ahead of Sunday's contest against the Cowboys, Paul Dehner Jr. of The Athletic reports. Asiasi has been dealing with a nagging injury quad issue that has kept him sidelined since the Bengals' final preseason game in late August. In 25-year-old's absence, Drew Sample and Mitchell Wilcox should serve as Cincinnati's backup tight ends behind Hayden Hurst in Week 2.

  • Bengals' Devin Asiasi: Questionable for Sunday

Asiasi (quadriceps) logged another limited practice Friday and is listed as questionable for Week 2 at Dallas. Asiasi is still dealing with the same quad injury that limited him throughout the preseason and kept him out Week 1. Even if he can play Sunday, he'll likely find himself buried on the depth chart behind Hayden Hurst and Drew Sample.

  • Bengals' Devin Asiasi: Logs limited practice

Asiasi (quadriceps) was limited in practice Wednesday, Charlie Goldsmith of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports. Asiasi continues to nurse a quadriceps injury that is believed to have occurred while he was still with the Patriots. The third-year pro was claimed off waivers from New England on Aug. 31 and has been mostly out or limited since, including Week 1. Asiasi is considered questionable for Sunday's Week 2 matchup against the Cowboys.

  • Bengals' Devin Asiasi: Not practicing again

Asiasi (quadriceps) missed practice again Thursday, Ben Baby of ESPN.com reports. Asiasi was working on the rehab field Thursday as he continues to try and come back from his lingering quadriceps injury. Even if he's well enough to play Sunday, the third-year-pro may be made a healthy inactive against the Steelers, as he's currently No. 4 on the Bengals' tight end depth chart. He's also only been with the team since Aug. 31, when he was claimed off waivers from the Patriots.

  • Bengals' Devin Asiasi: Claimed by Bengals

Asiasi was claimed off waivers by the Bengals on Wednesday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports. Asiasi was waived by the Patriots on Tuesday, but he will now head to Cincinnati. The tight end played in one game with New England last year, making him unlikely to carve out a large role in the Bengals' offense. With Drew Sample (knee) and Mitchell Wilcox (ankle) both banged up, Asiasi could open Week 1 as Hayden Hurst's primary backup.

  • Devin Asiasi: Set to be waived

The Patriots are slated to waive Asiasi (quad), Mike Reiss of ESPN.com reports. With the move, Matt Sokol and Jalen Wydermyer profile as the Patriots' tight end options behind Hunter Henry and Jonnu Smith. Assuming Asiasi isn't waived with an injury designation, the 2020 third-rounder will have an opportunity to catch on elsewhere ahead of Week 1.

  • Patriots' Devin Asiasi: Out Friday due to quad injury

Asiasi won't play in Friday's preseason finale against the Raiders due to a quadriceps injury, Andrew Callahan of the Boston Herald reports. The extent of the injury remains unclear, but at the moment, it doesn't appear like a major issue. The 25-year-old has been competing for a depth spot behind top tight ends Hunter Henry and Jonnu Smith during training camp.

  • Patriots' Devin Asiasi: Practicing Tuesday

Asiasi participated in practice Tuesday, Mike Reiss of ESPN.com reports. Asiasi, who had been limited last week by an undisclosed injury, didn't see any action in the Patriots' preseason opener against the Giants, but the 25-year-old should log some work in the team's next contest, Friday against the Panthers. As Week 1 approaches, Asiasi and fellow 2020 third-rounder Dalton Keene are vying for depth slotting behind top tight ends Hunter Henry and Jonnu Smith.

  • Patriots' Devin Asiasi: Limited Tuesday

Asiasi (undisclosed) was limited during Tuesday's training camp practice, Mark Daniels of the Providence Journal reports. Asiasi left Monday's practice early due to an undisclosed injury, but as expected, the issue was minor and he's already working his way back to 100 percent. Fellow backup tight end Dalton Keene was also limited due to an undisclosed injury.

  • Patriots' Devin Asiasi: Tests positive for COVID-19

Asiasi (illness) has tested positive for COVID-19 and is practicing virtually, Ryan Hannable of WEEI.com reports. Asiasi is considered 'out indefinitely' according to Hannable, but Mike Reiss of ESPN.com reports that the second-year tight end is only experiencing mild symptoms, and that he's targeting a return to the field as soon as he's cleared all of the league's protocols related to COVID-19. David Wells is expected to handle increased reps behind Hunter Henry and Jonnu Smith until Asiasi is cleared for a return.

  • Patriots' Devin Asiasi: Limited production as rookie

Asiasi finished the 2020 season with two catches on seven targets for 39 yards yards and a TD in nine games. Meanwhile, fellow rookie tight end Dalton Keene caught three passes for 16 yards in six contests. It was hardly the production the Patriots were looking for when using a pair of third-round draft picks to secure the duo, but both players do possess some long-term upside. It's a bit early to assess Asiasi's 2021 fantasy prospects, however, with personnel changes in the team's offense likely on tap this offseason, both at TE and QB.

  • Patriots' Devin Asiasi: Won't be available Week 8

Asiasi didn't travel with the Patriots to Buffalo due to personal reasons and won't be available for Sunday's game against the Bills. Though Ryan Izzo (seven receptions for 90 yards in six games) has been one of the NFL's least-productive starting tight ends, neither Asiasi nor fellow rookie Dalton Keene (knee) has been able to make a major push for reps during their rookie seasons. Asiasi's absence Week 8 could still prove costly from a depth standpoint, as the Patriots would have no other available tight ends behind Izzo if Keene -- who is listed as questionable -- is unable to suit up.
