Hill (foot) was waived from reserve/injured Tuesday. Hill will now have an opportunity to join another squad if he can prove the foot ailment he suffered a month ago is a thing of the past.... See More ... See Less

Vikings' Holton Hill: Absence continues in Week 9
Hill (foot) won't play Sunday against the Lions, Andrew Krammer of the Star Tribune reports. Hill hasn't dressed since Week 4 and was unable to practice this week. He'll hope to heal up in time to face the Bears in Week 10, and the cornerback will have the benefit of an extra day to get healthy since that game is scheduled to be on Monday Night Football.... Vikings' Holton Hill: Still not back at practice
Hill (foot) was a non-participant during the Vikings' practice session Thursday. Hill hasn't suited up since facing the Texans in Week 4, though the 23-year-old cornerback has never been placed on injured reserve at any point during his inactive stint. The third-year man out of Texas started two of the Vikings' first four games of 2020, recording three pass deflections and a sack while playing at least 75 percent of the defensive workload in each outing. Given yet another DNP in practice, it's unlikely he suits up Sunday against Detroit unless he can rebound and return to the field during Friday's session.... See More ... See Less -
Vikings' Holton Hill: Not playing Sunday
Hill (foot) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Packers. Hill was unable to practice all week before being ruled out Friday, so he never had a chance of suiting up Sunday. Mike Hughes (neck) has moved to injured reserve, leaving Cameron Dantzler, Jeff Gladney and Harrison Hand to lead the cornerback group Week 8.... See More ... See Less -
Vikings' Holton Hill: Inactive as expected
Hill (foot) won't play in Sunday's game against the Falcons. It was reported Friday that Hill was unlikely to suit up in the contest after he missed practice this week, so this news isn't surprising. Hill will miss his second straight game, and in his absence, Mike Hughes, Cameron Dantzler and Jeff Gladney will serve as Minnesota's top three cornerbacks Sunday.... See More ... See Less -
Vikings' Holton Hill: Remains absent from practice
Hill (foot) did not practice Thursday. Hill has yet to resume practicing since picking up a foot injury Week 4. He'll likely need to resume handling at least limited reps Friday for any chance of suiting up against the Falcons on Sunday.... See More ... See Less -
Vikings' Holton Hill: Officially questionable
Hill (foot) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Seahawks, Chris Tomasson of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports. Hill began the week limited in practice, but he was downgraded to a non-participant Thursday and is now officially questionable. If he were forced to miss Sunday night's game in Seattle, rookies Jeff Gladney and Cameron Dantzler would benefit from increased defensive snaps.... See More ... See Less -
Vikings' Holton Hill: Listed as starting cornerback
Hill is listed as a starting cornerback opposite Mike Hughes on Minnesota's initial unofficial depth chart. He may not keep the starting job long with both 2020 third-round draft pick Cameron Dantzler and 2020 first-round draft pick Jeff Gladney contending for playing time, but it looks like Hill will get significant snaps early in the season.... Vikings' Holton Hill: Suspension uplifted
Hill has officially served two separate four-game suspensions and is now available to suit up for the Vikings' Week 8 matchup versus the Chiefs, Chris Tomasson of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports. The Vikings have received a roster exemption through next week, so they do not have to make an immediate roster move to allow Hill on the 53-man roster. The 22-year-old is set to take on a depth cornerback role in the team's secondary.... See More ... See Less
