Love posted 10 tackles (six solo) in a loss to the 49ers on Thursday Night Football. Love took advantage of his second straight start to finish with his third double-digit tackle effort of the campaign. The veteran safety has established a solid IDP floor over the past three weeks with 24 total tackles over that span. However, he may not be able to sustain that level of production with Seattle's secondary almost fully healthy at the moment.... See More ... See Less

Seahawks' Julian Love: Grabs first INT of 2023 in win
Love had three tackles (two solo) and an interception in Sunday's 24-20 win over the Browns. His interception came late in the fourth quarter when the Browns elected to throw the ball on third down. Love picked off PJ Walker on a pass intended for Amari Cooper, which led to the Seahawks scoring the game-winning touchdown five plays later. Love opened the season as the starting strong safety next to Quandre Diggs but has slipped into a depth role in recent weeks with Jamal Adams back in the lineup. Still, Love played in 67 percent of the defensive snaps Sunday and will continue to have a meaningful role in the Seahawks' secondary.... See More ... See Less -
Seahawks' Julian Love: Logs double-digit tackles
Love recorded 10 tackles (six solo) during the Seahawks' 24-3 win versus the Giants on Monday. Love had a big game against his former team while filling in for Jamal Adams (concussion), who left the game early in the first quarter. Love, a 2019 fourth-round pick, has now logged double-digit tackles twice this year and is currently on pace to finish with a new career high.... See More ... See Less -
Seahawks' Julian Love: Clear for Week 4
Love (hamstring) doesn't have a designation for Monday's road game against the Giants, Colin Gunther of the Seahawks' official site reports. Prior to being listed as questionable for a Week 3 matchup with the Panthers, Love managed just one limited practice. He was able to suit up last Sunday and log an 85 percent snap share on his way to five tackles and two pass defenses. This week, he opened it with back-to-back capped sessions before getting back to all activity Saturday, allowing the Seahawks to clear him entirely. Love thus will be looking to add to the 27 tackles (21 solo) that he's accrued through three games to start the season, with teammates Jamal Adams (knee) and Quandre Diggs (hamstring) available Monday.... Seahawks' Julian Love: Gets in full practice Saturday
Love (hamstring) does not carry an injury designation for Monday's matchup against the Giants, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports. Love was a limited participant in practice both Thursday and Friday but was able to log a full session Saturday. He's started at strong safety for Jamal Adams in the first three games of the season and has registered 27 tackles (21 solo) and three pass deflections. Even with Adams set to return Monday, Love should still see meaningful playing time, especially with Artie Burns (hamstring) and Tre Brown (concussion) ruled out.... See More ... See Less -
Seahawks' Julian Love: Listed as questionable
Love (hamstring) is considered questionable for Sunday's game against the Panthers, Michael-Shawn Dugar of The Athletic reports. Love looks like a game-time decision after logging a limited practice Friday. He has yet to miss a defensive snap through two games, but if Jamal Adams (knee) returns that could change. More clarity on Love's status should come Sunday morning.... See More ... See Less -
Seahawks' Julian Love: Leads Seattle with 13 stops
Love racked up 13 tackles (10 solo) and recovered a fumble Sunday against Detroit in a Week 2 overtime win. Love led the Seahawks in tackles in a game during which two of his teammates also logged double-digit stops. Love broke through with a career-best 124 stops with the Giants last season and appears on track to challenge that mark in his first campaign with Seattle, notching 22 (17 solo) through two weeks.... Seahawks' Julian Love: Slated to start Week 1
Love is expected to start at strong safety Week 1, Brady Henderson of ESPN reports. Love is now slated to start Sunday against the Rams alongside Quandre Diggs, as Jamal Adams has been ruled out with a knee injury. The 25-year-old Love spent the past four seasons with the Giants before signing with Seattle in March and could find himself starting multiple games, as Adams has yet to be given a definitive return date.... Seahawks' Julian Love: Signs with Seattle
Love and the Seahawks agreed to a two-year, $12 million contract Friday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports. After four seasons with the Giants, Love is moving on to Seattle in 2023. The safety has increased his production each year of his career, producing 124 tackles, including a sack, while also recording five pass deflections, two interceptions, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery over 16 games in 2022. Love will step right into a significant role in the Seahawks' talented secondary.... See More ... See Less -
Giants' Julian Love: Records multiple career-best marks
Love finished the regular season with 124 tackles (79 solo), one sack, two interceptions, five pass defenses and a forced fumble across 16 games. Love came into his own as an IDP asset this season, setting career-high marks in stops, INTs and sacks. Not coincidentally, he also tallied the most snaps (955) of his career and mostly maintained good health, sitting out only one game -- he was rested in New York's season finale in order to get a breather before the postseason. Love notched double-digit tackles in four different contests, highlighted by a 14-stop performance against Dallas in Week 3. He'll be a free agent after the campaign, and Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com reports that the Giants hope to bring him back into the fold following his success this season.... See More ... See Less -
Giants' Julian Love: Crosses 100-tackle threshold
Love had 10 tackles (seven solo) in Sunday's 48-22 loss to the Eagles. Love took a bad angle on a fourth down deep ball to DeVonta Smith in the second quarter, resulting in a 41-yard touchdown that gave the Eagles a 14-0 lead. Outside of that uncharacteristic mistake, the 24-year-old safety was productive as usual, reaching double digits in tackles for a third consecutive game to bring his season total to 107 (70 solo).... Giants' Julian Love: Notches first INT of season
Love totaled five tackles (three solo), two pass defenses and an interception in a 24-20 Week 6 victory over Baltimore. Love finished fourth on the team in tackles, and his biggest contribution came on a fourth-quarter interception of Lamar Jackson with less than three minutes remaining. New York was trailing by three points at the time, and Love returned the pick to Baltimore's 13-yard line, setting up a Saquon Barkley one-yard touchdown plunge that gave the Giants the victory. Love has established borderline IDP viability this season, racking up 41 tackles, one interception, one sack and one forced fumble through six contests.... See More ... See Less -
Giants' Julian Love: Won't return in Week 4
Love (concussion) was downgraded to out for remainder of Sunday's game against the Bears, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports. Love appears to have suffered a concussion that forced him out of Sunday's contest. The fourth-year safety recorded 27 tackles and one sack over the first three weeks of the season, and his next chance to play will come during next week's game against the Packers in London.... Giants' Julian Love: Leads team in tackles
Love recorded 11 tackles (10 solo) across 68 defensive snaps in Sunday's loss to the 49ers. Love exploded onto the scene Sunday, more than doubling his tackles this season in a single contest. The second year safety also has the most defensive snaps out of the Giants' safety unit. If he continues this high level of play, Love could emerge as a reliable IDP option moving forward....
