  • Packers' Patrick Taylor: Works as backup in win

Taylor had three carries for 11 yards and one reception for four yards in Thursday's 29-22 victory over the Lions. With top running back Aaron Jones (knee) out for Week 12, Taylor operated as the backup behind AJ Dillon. Taylor and Dillon nearly split the snaps down the middle, but Dillon dominated the touches, recording 17 of them to Taylor's four. Taylor -- sandwiched around a stint on New England's practice squad -- has made five appearances for the Packers this season, but he hasn't accumulated more than 29 yards from scrimmage in any of them. It's unclear if Jones will miss more time, but even if he does, it will be tough to trust Taylor in fantasy lineups.

  • Packers' Patrick Taylor: Heads back to Green Bay

The Packers signed Taylor off the Patriots' practice squad Monday. With Aaron Jones injured earlier in the season, Taylor appeared in four games for Green Bay, recording an 11-31-0 rushing line and 5-28-0 receiving on 10 targets. He then landed in New England after the Packers exhausted Taylor's elevations to the 53-man roster. With Jones (knee) hurt again and rookie Emanuel Wilson (shoulder) sidelined as well, Taylor is back to complement AJ Dillon.

  • Packers' Patrick Taylor: Works as clear backup

Taylor had two carries for two yards and caught two of five targets for five yards in Monday's 17-13 loss to the Raiders. With Aaron Jones (hamstring) unavailable, Taylor worked as Green Bay's No. 2 running back behind AJ Dillon. He played just over a third of the snaps -- far more than fellow reserve Emanuel Wilson -- but with Dillon having his best game of the season, Taylor was only minimally involved. The third-year back was signed to the 53-man roster Monday as the Packers had already exhausted all his practice-squad elevations for the year.

  • Packers' Patrick Taylor: Elevated from practice squad

The Packers elevated Taylor to their active roster Saturday ahead of Sunday's game against the Saints. Since this is the third time that the Packers have called up Taylor from the practice squad, they will have to sign him to their roster if they wish to continue fielding him for the rest of the season. Taylor split snaps with Emanuel Wilson behind AJ Dillon in their 25-24 loss to the Falcons in Week 2. Taylor has registered six carries for 23 yards in two contests this season.

  • Patrick Taylor: Back to practice squad

Taylor reverted to the Packers' practice squad Monday. Taylor was elevated for the second straight week from Green Bay's practice squad, garnering one carry for one yard while operating as the primary backup to AJ Dillon in the Packers' 25-24 loss to Atlanta. If Aaron Jones (hamstring) can't go again in Week 3 versus New Orleans, it's possible Taylor gets elevated again.

  • Packers' Patrick Taylor: Shares backup duties in Week 2

Taylor had one carry for one yard in Sunday's 25-24 loss to the Falcons. Taylor and Emanuel Wilson split the snaps behind AJ Dillon with Aaron Jones (hamstring) sidelined, but neither backup did anything of note. In fact, Taylor was more productive in Week 1 against the Bears when Jones was in the lineup. Unless Dillon goes down too, Taylor remains off the fantasy radar in most formats.

  • Packers' Patrick Taylor: Promoted to active roster

The Packers elevated Taylor to the active roster Saturday. Taylor has now been promoted to the active roster in consecutive weeks to kick off the year. He tallied five carries for 22 yards in the team's 38-20 season-opening victory over the Bears as the No. 3 back. If Aaron Jones (hamstring) does not get the green light, Taylor could again see some work in the backfield behind AJ Dillon and Emanuel Wilson.

  • Packers' Patrick Taylor: Opens as third running back

Taylor had five carries for 22 yards in Sunday's 38-20 victory over the Bears. Taylor was beaten out for a spot on Green Bay's 53-man roster by fellow running back Emanuel Wilson, but it appears that had more to do with keeping Wilson off waivers, as Taylor worked as Green Bay's third running back in Week 1 after being elevated from the practice squad. He did not get a carry until the game was well in hand, but he was effective with his opportunities. Starting running back Aaron Jones shined in Sunday's game but injured his hamstring, and Jones' backup, AJ Dillon, struggled to get much going. As such, Taylor -- at least to some degree -- is on the fantasy radar heading into a Week 2 clash with the Falcons.

  • Patrick Taylor: Back with practice squad

Taylor was picked up by the Packers' practice squad Wednesday, Matt Schneidman of The Athletic reports. Taylor was competing for the No. 3 running back role on Green Bay's depth chart during training camp, but the team ended up going with Emanuel Wilson behind staples Aaron Jones and AJ Dillon. The 25-year-old has bounced back and forth between the Packers' practice squad and active roster the previous two seasons and it is looking like deja vu heading into his third season.

  • Packers' Patrick Taylor: Effective in final exhibition

Taylor had six carries for 24 yards and one reception for eight yards in Saturday's 19-15 preseason victory over the Seahawks. Taylor was the third Packers running back to enter Saturday's contest, so it's possible he has fallen behind fellow running back Emanuel Wilson on the depth chart. However, Green Bay may have simply wanted to give Wilson some work with the first team. The two are the frontrunners to be Green Bay's No. 3 running back, though neither is guaranteed a roster spot, as the Packers broke camp with only two active running backs in 2022.

  • Packers' Patrick Taylor: Scores in second preseason game

Taylor had four carries for 12 yards and a touchdown and one reception for five yards in Saturday's 21-17 preseason loss to the Patriots. Taylor was not particularly busy in Saturday's contest, but that's because the Packers have a pretty good feel for what they have in him in his fourth season with the team. He remains the frontrunner for the third running back spot on the depth chart.

  • Packers' Patrick Taylor: Tallies 11 touches in opener

Taylor had six carries for 19 yards and five receptions for eight yards in Friday's 36-19 preseason victory over the Bengals. Taylor entered Friday's contest third on the depth chart at the running back position, and with Aaron Jones sitting out, Taylor was the second running back into the game behind AJ Dillon. Taylor was busy, racking up 11 touches and -- per Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com -- spending eight more snaps on the field than any other Packers running back. Taylor did not do anything spectacular and was outshined by rookie reserve Emanuel Wilson, so his grasp on the third spot may not be as secure as it was. However, the veteran Taylor remains the frontrunner for the job.

  • Packers' Patrick Taylor: Signed to active roster

The Packers signed Taylor from the practice squad to the active roster Monday, Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com reports. Taylor previously was on the active roster and made seven appearances before being waived at the end of November. He rejoined the team via a practice-squad deal and was elevated for three consecutive contests (Weeks 11-13). However, across his 10 total appearances, the running back has rushed just once for six yards across seven offensive snaps. He figures to garner a similar role as long as Aaron Jones and AJ Dillon are healthy. To make room for Taylor on the active roster, Green Bay waived Sammy Watkins on Monday.

  • Packers' Patrick Taylor: Elevated to active roster

Taylor has been promoted to the Packers' active roster ahead of Sunday's game against the Bears, Aaron Wilson of ProFootballNetwork.com reports. With Aaron Jones and AJ Dillon both healthy, Taylor's role in Sunday's contest will presumably just be as a special-teams contributor. It will be his 10th game on the active roster this season.

  • Packers' Patrick Taylor: Elevated from practice squad

Taylor has been elevated by Green Bay from the practice squad to the active roster ahead of Sunday's road contest against Philadelphia. This will be the ninth week this season during which Taylor has been active for the Packers, as he's been signed and waived from the active roster twice but has rejoined the practice squad each time. Taylor hasn't been able to see the field much behind Aaron Jones and AJ Dillon, as he's logged only one offensive snap thus far. Meanwhile, the third-year back has racked up 78 special-teams snaps, and that's likely the primary role he'll play again Week 12.

  • Packers' Patrick Taylor: Joins active roster

Taylor was signed to the Packers' active roster from their practice squad Tuesday. Taylor's addition to the active roster comes as the team waived Kylin Hill on Tuesday. The 24-year-old has already appeared in seven games for the Packers this season, but has only seen one snap on offense. With Aaron Jones (shin) questionable for Thursday's game with the Titans, Taylor could be in for a considerable workload, if Jones were to sit.

  • Patrick Taylor: Returns to Green Bay

Taylor signed with the Packers' practice squad Thursday. Taylor was waived by the Packers from their 53-man roster on Tuesday, but he's now back with the franchise as a member of their practice squad. The 24-year-old has played in seven games for the team this season, making his contributions on special teams. He'll now work to find his way back to the active roster.

  • Packers' Patrick Taylor: Elevated to active roster

The Packers elevated Taylor from their practice squad Saturday to the active roster for Sunday's contest against the Bears. With Kylin Hill (knee) sidelined, Taylor and Tyler Goodson competed during training camp for the No. 3 spot behind Aaron Jones and AJ Dillon. However, the Packers opted to keep only two running backs on the initial 53-man roster, leaving Taylor and Goodson to sign practice-squad deals. Neither practice-squad player was elevated for Green Bay's season-opening loss, but Taylor will get the first look as the No. 3 RB in Week 2. Last year, he rushed 23 times for 89 yards and scored one touchdown across nine appearances. However, barring injuries, Taylor isn't expected to garner many touches against Chicago.

  • Patrick Taylor: Signs practice squad deal

The Packers signed Taylor to their practice squad Wednesday, Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com reports. With Kylin Hill (knee) sidelined, Taylor and Tyler Goodson competed during training camp for the No. 3 spot behind Aaron Jones and AJ Dillon. Taylor did his best to earn the job, rushing 18 times for 71 yards while catching three passes for 17 yards across three exhibition contests. However, the Packers opted to keep just two running backs on their initial 53-man roster, with the understanding that Amari Rodgers or Randall Cobb could handle emergency RB duties if Jones or Dillon went down with an injury. Regardless, Taylor and Goodson are both candidates to be elevated on a weekly basis now that they are members of the practice squad.

  • Patrick Taylor: Waived by Packers

The Packers waived Taylor on Tuesday, Wes Hodkiewicz of the Packers' official site reports. Taylor appeared in nine games for Green Bay last year, but the Packers will role with Aaron Jones and AJ Dillon as their only two healthy running backs ahead of the regular season. Over three preseason games, Taylor rushed 18 times for 71 yards while tallying three receptions for 17 yards.
