  • Marvin Hall: Time ends in Duval

Hall was released by the Jaguars on Monday. Hall's tenure in Jacksonville will end just three months after signing a contract with the team in May. The 29-year-old previously spent short stints with Detroit, Cleveland and Atlanta over the past three seasons, hauling in 26 of his 44 targets for 573 yards and three touchdowns over 23 games during this span. Hall will now look for a new squad where he can serve as a big-play threat this regular season.

  • Jaguars' Marvin Hall: Inks deal with Jacksonville

Hall signed with the Jaguars on Monday. Hall has had multiple stints with the Lions and Falcons, including a stop with Cleveland, since going undrafted out of Washington in 2016. The 29-year-old appeared in two games with Atlanta last season, catching his only target for 10 yards.

  • Marvin Hall: Gone from Falcons' practice squad

Hall was released from the Falcons' practice squad Thursday. The wide receiver reverted to the practice squad Dec. 27 prior to being let go Thursday. • Marvin Hall: Back to practice squad

Hall reverted to the Falcons' practice squad Monday, per the NFL's official transaction log. Hall was elevated to Atlanta's active roster for Sunday's win over the Lions with Tajae Sharpe (foot) sidelined. Even so, he played only five offensive snaps while also recording one catch on one target for 10 yards. If Sharpe remains sidelined, it's possible that Hall will be promoted again for a Week 17 matchup against the Bills.

  • Falcons' Marvin Hall: Catches first pass of season

Hall caught his only target for 10 yards during Sunday's 20-16 win over the Lions. With Calvin Ridley (personal) still away from the team and Tajae Sharpe (foot) sidelined, Hall was elevated to the active roster for just the second time this season. The 28-year-old played just five offensive snaps, but he caught his first pass of the season on his only target. Despite the lack of depth in the Falcons' wide receiver corps, Hall likely doesn't garner any fantasy consideration heading into a tough matchup against the Bills in Week 17.

Hall worked out for the Falcons on Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of Sportstalk 790 Houston reports. In 12 games with the Browns and Lions in 2020, Hall had 18 catches for 302 yards and two scores.

  • Marvin Hall: Agrees to injury settlement

Hall (undisclosed) reached an injury settlement with New England on Wednesday and was waived off injured reserve, independent NFL journalist Aaron Wilson reports. Hall was placed on injured reserve with the unspecified issue last week and will now hit free agency. New England was expected to part ways with the 28-year-old prior to the injury, so it's hardly a surprise an injury settlement was reached.

  • Browns' Marvin Hall: Not facing Steelers

Hall (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's wild-card matchup in Pittsburgh, Jake Trotter of ESPN.com reports. Hall made his debut with the Browns back in Week 16, but he was inactive for the regular-season finale and won't be on hand for Sunday's rematch against the Steelers. Instead, Cleveland will roll with Jarvis Landry, Rashard Higgins, Donovan Peoples-Jones and Alexander Hollins at wide receiver.

  • Browns' Marvin Hall: Possible fill-in Sunday

Hall was mentioned as a possible fill-in third wide receiver with KhaDarel Hodge (reserve/COVID-19) out and Donovan Peoples-Jones (concussion) questionable for Sunday's playoff opener against the Steelers, Nate Ulrich of the Akron Beacon Journal reports. Cleveland head coach Kevin Stefanski mentioned Hall along with Ja'Marcus Bradley as well as an expanded role for running back Kareem Hunt. Both Hall and Bradley played Week 16 against the Jets but were inactive for last week's season finale. Stefanski also raised the name of Alexander Hollins, who was signed off the Vikings' practice squad Dec. 28 and was inactive for Week 17.

  • Browns' Marvin Hall: Makes Browns debut

Hall caught one of two targets for 12 yards in Sunday's 23-16 loss to the Jets. Hall made his debut for Cleveland after being claimed off waivers from the Lions earlier in December. He was part of an emergency crew activated for the game after the Browns' top four receivers were placed on the COVID-19 list, all deemed high-risk contacts of teammate B.J. Goodson. The wideouts will have to spend at least five days on the list and could be ready for the Steelers in Week 17 when a win will clinch a playoff berth, pushing Hall back off the active roster.

  • Browns' Marvin Hall: Bigger role awaits Week 16

Hall is expected to serve as the de facto No. 1 receiver for the Browns in Sunday's game against the Jets with Cleveland's top four wideouts being ruled out for the contest after the quartet was identified as close contacts of linebacker B.J. Goodson, who tested positive for COVID-19, Ellis L. Williams of the Cleveland Plain Dealer reports. Scooped up off waivers from the Lions on Dec. 7, Hall has yet to make his Cleveland debut after being made a healthy inactive for his first two games with the organization. He'll now be thrust into a prominent role out of necessity Sunday, with all of Jarvis Landry, Rashard Higgins, Donovan Peoples-Jones and KhaDarel Hodge having been ruled out for Week 16. Expect the run-heavy Cleveland offense to rely even more on the ground game as a result of the personnel losses at receiver, but Hall should be in store for at least a handful of targets, which could be enough to make him an enticing punt play in DFS contests.

  • Browns' Marvin Hall: Sitting down for SNF

Hall (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday night's game against the Giants, Jake Trotter of ESPN.com reports. The Browns claimed Hall off waivers after Detroit decided to cut the 27-year-old Dec. 5, but he's now been a healthy scratch in back-to-back games with his new team. Hall produced 14 receptions for 234 yards and a touchdown over his final five appearances as a Lion between Weeks 8 and 12, however, Cleveland has decided to proceed with KhaDarel Hodge and Donovan Peoples-Jones as its third and fourth WR options for Sunday night.
