The Patriots selected Rivers in the third round of the 2017 NFL Draft, 83rd overall. Rivers (6-foot-4, 248 pounds) looks like a steal for the Patriots. He was highly productive at Youngstown State, and his athletic profile strongly implies future success as an NFL pass rusher. He ran a 4.61-second 40 at the Combine, adding a 35-inch vertical, 123-inch broad jump, and 6.94-second three-cone drill.
