Dolphins' Zeek Biggers: Headed to Miami
The Dolphins selected Biggers in the seventh round of the 2025 NFL Draft, 253rd overall.
Biggers was a full-time starter in his last two years at Georgia Tech, registering 62 tackles (29 solo), including 2.0 sacks, six pass deflections and two fumble recoveries over 26 games. He primarily served as an early-down player on defense, but he also made an impact on special teams with four blocked field goals in his college career. At 6-foot-6 and 321 pounds, Biggers has the size and raw power to hang at the NFL level, but he'll need to develop his skills and become a more disciplined tackler if he wants to see snaps on the field.

Dolphins' Quinn Ewers: Round 7 pick by Dolphins
The Dolphins selected Ewers in the seventh round of the 2025 NFL Draft, 231st overall.
Ewers transferred to Texas after a year at Ohio State and started three years for the Longhorns, posting his best to date in 2025 to the tune of 3,472 passing yards and a 31:12 TD:INT ratio over 14 games, earning him Second Team All-SEC. He elected to bypass his final season of college eligibility to turn pro due to Arch Manning waiting in the wings in Austin, and he finally heard his name called in the final round of the draft. Ewers was a high-profile recruit coming out of high school and has battled through injuries throughout his career; however, he possesses some intriguing traits as a development project. He'll slot into a depth role behind Tua Tagovailoa and Zach Wilson in Miami and will aim to prove his worth in training camp.

Dolphins' Ollie Gordon: Slide ends in Miami
The Dolphins selected Gordon in the sixth round of the 2025 NFL Draft, 179th overall.
A year ago, it would have been considered a big surprise for Gordon to last this long in the draft. He was coming off a monstrous sophomore season at Oklahoma State with 285 carries for 1,732 yards and 21 rushing touchdowns. His junior year did not go as planned, however. Gordon's YPC dropped from 6.08 to 4.63, and he was held to 880 rushing yards on 190 attempts. The combine didn't help his stock much, as he tested below average in the 40 (4.61) and in the vertical (34.5). His fit in Miami is good, though. The Dolphins have two smaller, speedier backs and needed to add some thump. Gordon can provide that at 6-foot-1 and 226 pounds. The upside case for Gordon would be taking over a short-yardage and goal-line role in Miami.

Dolphins' Dante Trader: Joins Dolphins secondary
The Dolphins selected Trader in the fifth round of the 2025 NFL Draft, 155th overall.
Miami gets another piece of the Maryland defense after drafting defensive tackle Jordan Phillips earlier in the fifth. Trader is a former two-sport athlete at Maryland who played lacrosse in addition to football. At 5-foot-11 and 196 pounds, Trader is decent in coverage and is a willing tackler as a safety. He's unlikely to be used as a nickel corner, so he may have to bide his time behind Ashtyn Davis and Ifeatu Melifonwu.

Dolphins' Jason Marshall: Adds needed secondary depth in MIA
The Dolphins selected Marshall in the fifth round of the 2025 NFL Draft, 150th overall.
Marshall started for most of his collegiate career at Florida, but his draft stock was still dinged due to his inconsistent ability to read offensive schemes. Nevertheless, he adds needed depth to a weak Miami secondary, even before accounting for Jalen Ramsey's likely departure. Marshall could be counted on to serve in a big role in his rookie season, despite what his draft capital suggests.

Dolphins' Jordan Phillips: South Beach bound
The Dolphins selected Phillips in the fifth round of the 2025 NFL Draft, 143rd overall.
Phillips began his career at Tennessee before transferring to Maryland and becoming a two-year starter. He has a squat, hard-to-move frame at 6-foot-1 and 312 pounds with a strong anchor. Phillips developed a reputation for his work ethic in the weight room and played a high volume of snaps for a defensive tackle. The Dolphins already added Kenneth Grant in the first round, so that will be a hurdle to playing time for Phillips, but he at least gives them some much-needed depth in the middle of the defensive line.

Dolphins' Jonah Savaiinaea: Target of Dolphins' trade up
The Dolphins selected Savaiinaea in the second round of the 2025 NFL Draft, 37th overall.
Miami moved up to nab the 6-foot-4, 324-pounder of Arizona in the second round. Savaiinaea has experience all across the line with double-digit starts at both right tackle and guard, along with five starts at left tackle. His combine workout put him firmly on the Day 2 radar, as he checked in with nearly 34-inch arms and excellent speed for his size (4.95 40-yard dash). Whether it's guard or right tackle, Savaiinaea should be ready to roll right away in Miami.

Dolphins' Kenneth Grant: Miami adds big tackle 13th overall
The Dolphins selected Grant in the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft, 13th overall.
Grant (6-foot-4, 330 pounds) is a uniquely massive defensive tackle prospect who can hold down double teams yet has the athleticism (5.13-second 40-yard dash, 31-inch vertical) to project as more disruptive than most nose tackle types. Although he was not regarded quite as highly as fifth overall pick, former Michigan teammate Mason Graham, it would be a disappointment if Grant isn't one of the league's better defensive tackles within a year or two. It's possible that Grant never emerges as a standout IDP, but his ability to occupy blockers will make his teammates better at the very least.
