  • Giants' Sam Beal: Expanded role possible

Beal would likely enter the Giants' starting lineup if Deandre Baker misses any time in 2020, Matt Lombardo of NJ.com reports. Beal was limited to just six games as a rookie in 2019 due to injuries, but he produced as a reliable member of the secondary when healthy. With Baker's legal situation still unresolved and a suspension within the realm of possibilities, it's conceivable that Beal could be thrust into the starting lineup for at least a handful of games. Having averaged eight tackles in his three starts as a rookie, Beal's situation could be worth monitoring in IDP formats.
