Mafe posted 52 tackles (32 solo), including 9.0 sacks, across 16 games during the 2023 season. Mafe also added six pass breakups and two fumble recoveries. The 2022 second-round pick earned more playing time in his second NFL season and showed major improvements, accordingly, leading the team in sacks. The Seahawks are hoping 2023 second-round pick Derick Hall will make similar improvements to Mafe, but regardless, we should expect Mafe to be featured in this defense again in 2024.... See More ... Seahawks' Boye Mafe: Fills stat sheet in win
Mafe recorded six tackles (five solo), including two sacks, in the Seahawks' 20-17 victory over the Titans on Sunday. The linebacker also finished with four total quarterback hits. The second-year pro has been making plays this season, with a team-leading 9.0 sacks as well as four passes defensed, two fumble recoveries and a forced fumble.... See More ... See Less -
Seahawks' Boye Mafe: Good to go versus Baltimore
Mafe (shoulder) does not carry any injury designation ahead of Sunday's game versus the Ravens, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports. Mafe popped up with a shoulder injury Wednesday and was limited in back-to-back practices before participating in full Friday. The 2022 second-round pick will now be ready to suit up for his sixth game in a row Week 9. Mafe has totaled 21 tackles this season, including exactly one sack in each of the last five games for Seattle.... See More ... See Less -
Seahawks' Boye Mafe: Notches second sack
Mafe posted two tackles (one solo) and a sack in Sunday's 27-13 win over the Giants. Darrell Taylor left after just three defensive snaps, but Mafe's playing time didn't change much, as he logged a 44 percent snap share while veteran Bruce Irvin handled 72 percent of the defensive snaps. The rookie second-round pick managed to produce his second sack of the season. However, he won't be a dependable fantasy option until he achieves consistent playing time.... See More ... See Less

Brady Henderson@BradyHenderson19H agoThe Seahawks signed NT Buddha Jones after he took part in their rookie minicamp as a tryout player, the team announced. Jones (6-1/307) is a UDFA from Troy. Seattle had two open roster spots, so no move needed to fit Jones.

Brady Henderson@BradyHenderson2D agoThere’s still music at Seahawks practice, but it wasn’t blaring during their rookie minicamp. First time I really noticed it was when Van Halen’s “Panama” came on. The QBs’ cadences were still audible from some 60 yards away. Mike Macdonald on finding a balance with the music: https://t.co/Os6hPTTCcc
