  • Lions' Cameron Sutton: Underwhelming in Detroit

Sutton recorded 65 tackles, six passes defended including one interception and one forced fumble over 17 regular-season games in 2023. Detroit made Sutton one of the top-20 most highly paid cornerbacks in the league last season, but didn't exactly get a great return on their investment. While he continued to be reliable from a health standpoint, he played a large role in a secondary that allowed the sixth-most passing touchdowns (28), the sixth-most passing yards per game (247.4), and the most passing plays of 20-plus yards (69) in 2023. Under contract for at least one more season before the Lions could realistically part ways with him, Sutton should get every chance to re-establish himself next season, but it wouldn't be a surprise if Detroit tries to upgrade at outside cornerback during the offseason.

Sutton (toe) is active for Saturday night's game against the Cowboys. Sutton missed practice Thursday but got in a limited session Friday and was officially listed as questionable versus Dallas. • Steelers' Cameron Sutton: No injury concerns

The Steelers released a revised practice report Thursday revealing that Sutton did not miss Wednesday's session due to a hamstring injury, Chris Halicke of DKPittsburghSports.com reports. Sutton is not dealing with any sort of injury, and in reality it was Tre Norwood (hamstring) who missed Wednesday's session. The starting cornerback has played 100 percent of defensive snaps in eight straight contests, and there are no concerns about his availability for Sunday's road matchup against the Ravens.

  • Steelers' Cameron Sutton: Ruled out Sunday

Sutton has been ruled out for the remainder of Sunday's contest against the Bills due to a hamstring injury, per Burt Lauten of the Steelers' official site. Despite logging limited practices due to hamstring and groin injuries ahead of Week 5, Sutton was still deemed active for the contest. He led the team with four tackles, including one for loss, before leaving Sunday's matchup in the third quarter with a hamstring injury, but it's unclear if he aggravated the same issue or suffered a new injury. The Steelers ruled Ahkello Witherspoon (hamstring) out before the game, so Arthur Maulet and Levi Wallace will serve as the team's top two cornerbacks moving forward.

  • Steelers' Cameron Sutton: Questionable for Sunday

Sutton (groin/hamstring) is questionable for Sunday's matchup against the Bills, Brooke Pryor of ESPN.com reports. Sutton was limited at practices all week after picking up groin and hamstring injuries during the team's loss to the Jets, but the starting defensive back still has a chance to play in Week 5. The 2017 third-round pick has played nearly every defensive snap for the Steelers this season, so his potential absence would be a huge blow to a secondary tasked with trying to slow down Josh Allen and the Bills' passing attack.

  • Steelers' Cameron Sutton: Listed as limited participant

Sutton (groin/hamstring) was limited during Wednesday's practice, Teresa Varley of the Steelers' official site reports. Sutton picked up the groin and hamstring injuries during the team's Week 4 loss to the Jets, but it's encouraging to see him get at least some work in during Wednesday's practice. The 2017 third-round pick will have two more opportunities to upgrade to a full participant before the team needs to make a decision on his status for Sunday's matchup against the Bills.

  • Steelers' Cameron Sutton: Earns first career sack

Sutton recorded one tackle (solo) for a sack in Pittsburgh's 20-13 win over Cleveland on Sunday. The third-year defensive back got to Cleveland quarterback Baker Mayfield for a one-yard loss to register his first sack in 20 NFL games. With just 13 tackles and an interception to go with his sack in 10 games this season Sutton just isn't on the field enough to warrant IDP fantasy consideration heading into Week 14 against the Cardinals.

  • Steelers' Cameron Sutton: Picked by Steelers

The Steelers selected Sutton in the third round of the 2017 NFL Draft, 94th overall. Sutton didn't show good athleticism at the Combine, running a 4.52-second 40-yard dash and posting a 34-inch vertical at 5-foot-11, 188 pounds, but he was a standout corner at Tennessee and should provide useful depth.
