Ronald Blair: Restored to Jets' practice squad
Blair (undisclosed) has been restored to the Jets' practice squad after a stint on the team's practice squad injured list. Blair has been dealing with a number of injuries during his six-year stint in the NFL. The defensive end hasn't played in a regular-season game since 2019. 49ers' Ronald Blair: Let go by San Fran
The 49ers released Blair (knee) on Friday, Cam Inman of The San Jose Mercury News reports. After missing the entirety of the 2020 campaign due to a torn ACL, Blair will leave San Francisco and aim to play elsewhere once recovered. 49ers' Ronald Blair: Resumes running in rehab
Blair (knee) posted a video on his personal Instagram account of him running while participating in rehab activities. Blair is working to recover from a torn ACL sustained in November, so it's encouraging to see that he's already progressed enough to participate in sprinting drills. It remains to be seen whether the 49ers will attempt to re-sign Blair prior to the start of the new league year March 18, at which point he's scheduled to become an unrestricted free agent.... Blair was diagnosed Tuesday with a torn ACL in his right knee and has been ruled out for the season, David Lombardi of The Athletic reports. He finishes the season with 21 tackles (14 solo), three sacks and a fumble recovery.... See More ... See Less -
49ers' Ronald Blair: Returns from IR
The 49ers activated Blair (thumb) off of injured reserve Saturday. It's unclear at this point exactly what role the 24-year-old will play in the team's defensive line rotation, but he could see a decent snap count against the Cardinals on Sunday given the numerous injuries sustained by the defensive unit....
