Colts general manager Chris Ballard said Wednesday that Smith underwent knee surgery following the 2023 season, Nate Atkins of The Indianapolis Star reports. Smith has played a full 16- or 17-game schedule in just one of his six pro seasons and is coming off a 2023 campaign in which he missed seven contests to knee issues. Smith has been ruled out for the remainder of Saturday's contest against the Texans due to a knee injury, Mike Chappell of Fox 59 News Indianapolis reports. Smith has been dealing with a knee injury since early December, and the issue caused him to miss three games during the final month of 2023.
