Tuipulotu suffered a torn Achilles during a Week 10 loss to the Commanders last year and finished out the season on IR. Now healthy, the 24-year-old should boost the team's defensive line in 2023.

Philadelphia placed Tuipulotu on injured reserve Wednesday with a knee injury.
Tuipulotu presumably picked up the injury during the Eagles' 32-21 loss to the Commanders on Monday. He'll now be forced to miss the next four games after being placed on IR. The losses of Tuipulotu and fellow defensive tackle jordan Davis (ankle) to IR spurred the Eagles to bring aboard veteran Linval Joseph on a one-year deal Wednesday.

Tuipulotu was activated from the reserve/COVID-19 list Wednesday, Aaron Wilson of Sportstalk 790 Houston reports.
The rookie was placed on the COVID list Saturday, forcing him to miss the Eagles' wild-card loss to the Buccaneers on Sunday. Tuipulotu appeared in five games in 2021, making five tackles while playing 54 defensive snaps.

The Eagles placed Tuipulotu (undisclosed) on the reserve/COVID-19 list Saturday.
It's not yet clear whether Tuipulotu has tested positive for the virus, but he'll be unavailable for Sunday's wild-card against Tampa Bay. He could have a chance to return if the Eagles advance to the divisional round.
