  • Brett Toth: Gets waived by Panthers

    The Panthers waived Toth on Monday, Mike Kaye of The Charlotte Observer reports. Toth played in both guard spots for Carolina in Week 12 at Tennessee, but the Panthers have decided to part ways with him less than two weeks later. He's set to become a free agent unless he's claimed by another team during the current waiver period.

  • Eagles' Brett Toth: Stays in Philadelphia

    Toth re-signed with the Eagles on Monday, Field Yates of ESPN reports. Toth served as the Eagles' third-string center last year but didn't play a snap. He played 53 snaps in 2021 and 97 snaps in 2020, so he has limited experience. He'll provide depth behind starter Jason Kelce and possible top reserve Cam Jurgens.

    The Eagles released Toth on Thursday. Toth spent the entirety of the 2022 campaign on the physically unable to perform list due to a knee injury that he sustained toward the end of the 2021 season. The 304-pound center is now slated to search for another opportunity to compete for a roster spot.

  • Eagles' Brett Toth: Practice window expires

    Toth (knee) will stay on the PUP list for the remainder of the season after failing to be activated Wednesday. The Eagles opened Toth's 21-day practice window Jan. 5, but he'll remain sidelined for the rest of the 2022 campaign following Wednesday's update. He didn't see any game action this season after undergoing knee surgery last January.
