Spector appears to be recovered from the back injury that ended his 2023 season early, and his spot on the 53-man roster heading into training camp appears secure due to his standing as a key special-teams contributor. Because of his draft capital as a 2023 third-round pick, Williams will likely be the favorite to win the top backup role this offseason, but Spector could have a solid chance to earn more opportunities if he can impress in workouts.

The 25-year-old linebacker missed Buffalo's last three games after he was activated from injured reserve in mid-October, but it now seems as if he's moved past his hamstring issue. With Terrel Bernard (concussion) listed as questionable for Monday night's contest, Spector could see an increased role on the Bills' defense in his 2023 debut.

Spector (hamstring) has been ruled out ahead of Sunday's game against the Bengals, Alaina Getzenberg of ESPN.com reports.
The second-year linebacker out of Clemson was activated from injured reserve in the middle of October, and he's now set to miss his third consecutive game since his activation. Spector appeared in six games for the Bills in 2022, recording six total tackles and playing primarily on special teams (60 percent of special teams snaps).

Spector has been out since suffering a hamstring injury during the preseason but is now one step closer toward making his return. The 2022 seventh-round pick was a full participant in practice Wednesday and will provide extra depth at linebacker once he's officially activated, with Matt Milano (knee) on injured reserve.
