Maple Leafs' Pontus Holmberg: Role shrinking in March
Holmberg saw a season-low 7:38 of ice time in Saturday's 3-1 win over the Kings.
Holmberg had six points over five games between Feb. 22 and March 2, but he's put up just a single assist across his last 11 outings. His ice time has been trending downward as well, and he was even scratched for the two games prior to Saturday. The 26-year-old has seen time on the second line occasionally, but his current role is not fantasy friendly. He's at 15 points, 60 shots on net, 44 blocked shots, 35 hits and a minus-1 rating across 59 appearances.

Maple Leafs' Mitch Marner: Reaches 90-point mark
Marner posted an assist and went plus-2 in Saturday's 3-1 win over the Kings.
Marner has a goal and six helpers during his four-game point streak. The 27-year-old reached the 90-point mark Saturday, a level he's achieved four times in his career, all in the last seven seasons. He's at 22 goals, 68 helpers, 154 shots on net, 42 hits and a plus-9 rating through 72 appearances. He'll need 10 points over the Maple Leafs' last nine games to secure his first 100-point season.

Maple Leafs' Jake McCabe: Earns shorthanded helper
McCabe logged a shorthanded assist, two shots on goal and two blocked shots in Saturday's 3-1 win over the Kings.
McCabe set up Auston Matthews' game-tying tally 55 seconds into the third period. With five assists over his last five games, McCabe has chipped in more than his usual share of offense. The 31-year-old defenseman is enjoying a solid campaign with 22 points, 112 hits, 131 blocked shots, 73 shots on net, 40 PIM and a plus-23 rating over 64 appearances. He has exceeded the 20-point mark in four straight seasons while adding ample physicality.

Maple Leafs' Morgan Rielly: Gets assist but still in slump
Rielly picked up an assist Saturday in a 3-1 win over Los Angeles.
It came on a third-period power play. Rielly has really struggled offensive this season, and he has just 35 points (seven goals, 28 assists) in 73 games. Last season, Rielly delivered 58 points in 72 contests. He's a long way removed from his career mark, which was set in 2018-19. He scored 20 goals and 51 assists, and he fired 223 shots. You have to trot him out there when he's playing -- you likely invested too much to admit you were wrong back at the draft.

Maple Leafs' Auston Matthews: Four-game, seven-point streak
Matthews scored a goal and added an assist in a 3-1 win over the Kings on Saturday.
His goal came while shorthanded in the third period, tying the score at 1-1. It was Matthews' second career shortie and his second this season. He got his first in a 7-3 win at Montreal on Jan. 18. Matthews has seven points (two goals, five assists) during a four-game scoring streak. He has 68 points in 58 games this season, earning his eighth straight season of producing better than a point per game. Sidney Crosby now holds the record for consecutive point-per-game (or better) campaigns with 20.

Maple Leafs' Anthony Stolarz: Stymies Kings on Saturday
Stolarz made 35 saves in a 3-1 win over the Kings on Saturday.
He was the Leafs' best player -- Stolarz stymied a Kings squad that had not lost in regulation at home since Jan. 20 against the Penguins. Stolarz benefited from a total team effort defensively, which clogged up the middle of the ice and kept the biscuit at a distance. He has three straight wins.

Maple Leafs' John Tavares: Five-game, eight-goal streak
Tavares scored twice Saturday in a 3-1 win over the Kings.
Both goals came in the third period. Tavares has eight snipes during a five-game goal streak and 11 points during a six-game point spree. He put the Maple Leafs up 2-1 on a four-on-three power play when he swept in a rebound from the right post. His second went into the empty net. Tavares has been excellent since the 4 Nations break, and that bodes well for fantasy managers in the playoffs and his team as Toronto heads toward the NHL postseason.

Stolarz will defend the road net against the Kings on Saturday, David Alter of The Hockey News reports.
Stolarz has won his last two outings, stopping 44 of 49 shots. He has a 15-8-3 record with one shutout, a 2.40 GAA and a .917 save percentage through 28 appearances this season. The Kings sit 20th in the league with 2.89 goals per game in 2024-25.

Maple Leafs' David Kampf: Registers assist
Kampf logged an assist in Thursday's 6-5 shootout loss to the Sharks.
Kampf has a goal and an assist over his last two games as he looks to solidify his place in the lineup again. The 30-year-old has typically filled a fourth-line role this season. He's at five goals, seven assists, 45 shots on net, 47 hits and a minus-2 rating over 56 appearances, so fantasy managers don't need to track him closely.

Maple Leafs' Oliver Ekman-Larsson: Earns 500th NHL point
Ekman-Larsson notched an assist, four hits, two blocked shots and a minus-2 rating in Thursday's 6-5 shootout loss to the Sharks.
Ekman-Larsson earned the 500th point of his career when he assisted on a Scott Laughton tally in the second period. The milestone came in Ekman-Larsson's 1,053rd game, and it snapped a four-game point drought. The defenseman has been a good fit for the Maple Leafs in his first year with the team, racking up 29 points, 109 shots on net, 98 hits, 73 blocked shots, 50 PIM and a plus-9 rating across 71 appearances. He's three points back of matching his total from 80 outings with the Panthers a year ago.

Maple Leafs' Matthew Knies: Grabs pair of power-play assists
Knies logged two power-play assists, three shots on goal and three hits in Thursday's 6-5 shootout loss to the Sharks.
This was Knies' second two-assist game in a row, as well as his third multi-point outing in March. The 22-year-old has racked up three goals and eight assists over 13 contests this month. Knies continues to thrive on the top power-play unit, and he's up to 49 points (14 on the power play), 126 shots, 166 hits, 37 PIM and a minus-5 rating through 68 appearances this season.

Maple Leafs' Mitch Marner: Distributes trio of assists
Marner logged three assists and two shots on goal in Thursday's 6-5 shootout loss to the Sharks.
Marner helped out on an Auston Matthews tally in the second period. In the third, Marner was the catalyst for the Maple Leafs' late rally, setting up John Tavares and William Nylander to erase a two-goal deficit in the final minute of regulation. Over the last six games, Marner has a goal and eight assists, earning three multi-point efforts in that span. He's up to 89 points (32 on the power play), 153 shots on net and a plus-7 rating across 71 appearances. He remains on pace to hit the 100-point mark for the first time, setting him up for a big payday in the offseason.

Maple Leafs' Scott Laughton: Nets first goal with new team
Laughton scored a goal on two shots, added two hits and blocked two shots in Thursday's 6-5 shootout loss to the Sharks.
Laughton snapped a 14-game point drought that dated back to his time with the Flyers. The 30-year-old was traded to the Maple Leafs at the deadline, and while he's been a constant in a bottom-six role, offense has been hard to come by. This was his first goal and point for Toronto, giving him a total of 12 tallies, 28 points, 113 shots on net, 154 hits, 42 blocked shots and a minus-21 rating over 70 appearances this season.

Maple Leafs' John Tavares: Notches two more points
Tavares scored a goal on two shots, added a power-play assist and logged two hits in Thursday's 6-5 shootout loss to the Sharks.
Tavares extended his point streak to five games (six goals, five assists) with this performance. His tally was clutch, bringing the Maple Leafs within one late in the third period before William Nylander netted the tying goal. Tavares is up to 33 goals and 67 points in just 65 outings this season, surpassing his 65-point effort from 80 games in the regular season in 2023-24. The center has added 172 shots on net, 82 hits, 39 blocked shots and a plus-6 rating in 2024-25.

Maple Leafs' Auston Matthews: Collects two points
Matthews scored a power-play goal on four shots, added an assist and blocked four shots in Thursday's 6-5 shootout loss to the Sharks.
Matthews has five goals and five helpers over his last seven outings, with seven of those 10 points coming on the power play. The 27-year-old center has had a down year by virtually every metric, though time lost to injuries is a factor. He's still at a strong 28 goals, 38 helpers, 227 shots on net, 74 blocks and an even plus-minus rating over 57 appearances, but his 12.3 shooting percentage is the second-lowest of his career.

Maple Leafs' William Nylander: Sets career high in goals
Nylander scored twice on three shots in Thursday's 6-5 shootout loss to the Sharks.
Nylander had a power-play tally in the first period and also scored the game-tying goal with less than 14 seconds left in the third. He had reached but not passed the 40-goal mark in each of the previous two seasons, but the third time was the charm. The 28-year-old has five goals and six assists over his last six outings and is now at 42 goals, 79 points, 235 shots on net and a plus-6 rating over 72 appearances this season.

Maple Leafs' Joseph Woll: Ugly outing in San Jose
Woll stopped 30 of 35 shots in Thursday's 6-5 shootout loss to the Sharks.
Both teams' top players were productive, though the Sharks' offense showed up earlier. It took a final-minute, two-goal comeback to get the game to overtime, but Woll was bested twice in the shootout to end up with the loss in the end. He is 4-2-1 with 23 goals allowed over seven contests in March, a jarring change compared to the steady play he showed between late January and the end of February. Woll is now 24-13-1 with a 2.80 GAA and a .905 save percentage over 38 appearances this season. He probably won't have to wait long for his next start, as the Maple Leafs wrap up their road trip with a back-to-back over the weekend. They visit the Kings on Saturday and the Ducks on Sunday, so Woll and Anthony Stolarz are likely to split the next two games.
