Jets' Justin Fields: Two total TDs in loss
Fields completed 15 of 26 passes for 116 yards with a touchdown and no interceptions while adding 11 carries for 67 yards and another score in the Jets' 27-14 loss to the Patriots on Thursday night. He also lost a fumble.
Fields was a bit better as a passer than during an abysmal 54-yard showing against the Browns on Sunday, but he still couldn't come truly close to helping his team keep pace with the highly efficient Drake Maye for four quarters. Fields did start off hot, leading a 14-play, 72-yard drive on the opening possession that he capped off with a five-yard touchdown run. The veteran quarterback would go on to add a 22-yard scoring strike to John Metchie late in the third quarter, but the Jets also would punt five times and turn the ball over on downs once. Additionally, Fields' fumble at his own 11-yard line just before the halfway point of the fourth quarter led to the final points of the game, a Patriots field goal that extended what had been a 10-point lead. He's now thrown for Thursday's yardage total or less in four of the last five games, certainly leaving open the possibility Tyrod Taylor gets a shot at a spot start in a Week 12 road matchup against one of his old teams, the Ravens, on Sunday, Nov. 23.

Jets' Justin Fields: Could be playing for job Thursday
Rich Cimini of ESPN.com suggests that Fields could be playing for his job Thursday night against the Patriots.
As Cimini notes, coach Aaron Glenn hasn't confirmed Fields as the Jets' Week 11 starter, but assuming that's the case, he'll be working without star WR Garrett Wilson (knee), who has been placed on IR. Fields has been held under 100 passing yards in three of his past four outings, a context that makes him a risky fantasy option versus New England, in any case. Per Cimini, Tyrod Taylor, who is past a recent knee injury, is lurking as a possible replacement in the event that Fields struggles Thursday.

Jets' Justin Fields: Coach quiet on starting QB again
Jets coach Aaron Glenn declined Monday to name Fields or Tyrod Taylor as the team's starting quarterback for Thursday's divisional matchup on the road against New England, Brian Costello of the New York Post reports.
Glenn waited until the last moment to name Fields the starter for Sunday's 27-20 win over the Browns despite having had a Week 9 bye to prepare, and per Al Iannazzone of Newsday, the head coach said he wouldn't "waste [his] time" answering questions about the quarterback situation entering Thursday's divisional contest. Fantasy managers in need of a Week 11 starter may need to roster both Fields and Taylor -- or, better yet, avoid the situation entirely -- until an official decision is announced. Fields struggled again despite eking out a win versus Cleveland, completing just six of 11 passes for 54 yards, one touchdown and one interception, with most of his passing yards coming on a 42-yard touchdown to Breece Hall on a screen pass. Part of Fields' issues can be attributed to Garrett Wilson (knee) having been forced out before securing a single catch, but with the No. 1 wideout now seemingly trending in the wrong direction for Week 11, it will be difficult to trust any part of New York's passing game regardless of who lines up under center.

Jets' Justin Fields: Completes six passes in Week 10 win
Fields completed six of 11 passes for 54 yards, one touchdown and one interception in Sunday's 27-20 win over the Browns. He added seven rushing attempts for 28 yards.
Fields threw for five yards and an interception in the first half, but the game was tied 17-17 at halftime thanks to two special-teams touchdowns by the Jets. He was credited for 42 passing yards when Breece Hall turned a fourth-quarter screen pass into a 42-yard touchdown, but Fields generated only 12 passing yards the rest of the game. The Jets seem unlikely to demote Fields after winning consecutive games, but head coach Aaron Glenn hasn't committed to a definitive starter between Fields and Tyrod Taylor under center, and Fields didn't inspire much confidence ahead of Thursday's game against the Patriots.

Jets' Justin Fields: Remaining starter for Week 10
The Jets plan to have Fields start at quarterback in Sunday's game against the Browns, Matt Zenitz of CBSSports.com reports.
Coming out of a Week 9 bye, head coach Aaron Glenn didn't commit to Fields nor Tyrod Taylor as the team's starter during Week 10 prep, but the Jets will reportedly stick with Fields under center while Taylor handles a backup role. While Taylor was inactive in Week 8 due to a knee injury, Fields retained the starting job and led the Jets to their first win of the season. He completed 21 of 32 passes for 244 yards and one touchdown while turning 11 carries into 31 yards in a 39-38 come-from-behind win over the Bengals.
