Williams posted 10 tackles (all solo) in the Giants' loss to the Eagles on Sunday. New York rested most of its starters in the contest, giving players unaccustomed to a major role a chance in the spotlight. Williams was one of those players -- he entered Sunday having been a healthy scratch in each of the previous five weeks. The second-year cornerback responded with a career-high 10 stops, but he's unlikely to see much (if any) action next Sunday in New York's wild-card matchup versus Minnesota.... See More ... See Less
Giants' Rodarius Williams: Clears injury report WednesdayWilliams (knee) was not listed on the Giants' injury report Wednesday. Williams was restored to the Giants' active roster Monday after taking the full 21-day window to practice while returning from the team's injured reserve. As a result, the second-year cornerback appears set to make his 2022 debut this Sunday against the Lions. Williams logged one tackle and played 47 of his 62 snaps on defense before suffering a season-ending torn ACL in Week 5 last season, so he'll likely slot into a reserve role alongside Nick McCloud and Cor'Dale Flott moving forward.... Giants' Rodarius Williams: Still sidelined in campWilliams (knee) has yet to practice during training camp, Dan Duggan of The Athletic reports. Williams tore his ACL in Week 5 last season, and he's still working his way back into game shape. He didn't participate in voluntary OTAs and hasn't yet been able to take the field during camp, but he still has a good chance of being ready for the start of the season. Williams is listed as a second-stringer on the Giants' first unofficial depth chart.... See More ... See Less
Giants' Rodarius Williams: Not participating in OTAsWilliams (knee) didn't participate in Thursday's voluntary OTAs, Dan Duggan of The Athletic reports. Williams suffered a season-ending torn ACL in Week 5 last season, so it's not surprising to see him sidelined this early in the offseason. It's possible the 2021 sixth-round pick remains sidelined heading into training camp as well.... See More ... See Less
Giants' Rodarius Williams: Out with torn ACLWilliams was diagnosed with a torn ACL on Monday and should miss the rest of the season, Art Stapleton of The Bergen Record reports. The rookie sixth-round pick sustained the injury during Sunday's loss to the Cowboys, as the Giants endured a day of horrible injury luck. Williams should undergo surgery at some point and be moved to injured reserve.... See More ... See Less

Art Stapleton@art_stapleton1D agoIf the Giants could find a returner who can dodge and juke the way Thomas McGaughey did questions about the new kickoff rule this morning, they'll be in business. Well played by McGaughey, but it's clear it's not in favor of it - at all.

Art Stapleton@art_stapleton1D agoI do think part of the Giants' decision to cancel OTA practices today and tomorrow also has to do with this: these are voluntary workouts in June. There's no reason to push something today or tomorrow with health questions + uncertainty. You also reinforce players' trust.
Art Stapleton@art_stapleton1D agoGiants' preseason games against the Panthers and the Jets will be broadcast live on NFL Network in out-of-area markets.

Art Stapleton@art_stapleton1D agoWink Martindale was very complimentary of rookie CB Deonte Banks this morning. Also, I have not seen the stats, but Wink quoted PFF in saying that #NYGiants defense faced max protection more than any other in NFL last season.
