Kpassagnon appeared in all 17 games during the 2023 regular season, tallying 19 tackles, including 3.5 sacks, and two passes defended. Kpassagnon played every regular-season game for the first time with the Saints, as he missed 11 games over the previous two campaigns. The 29-year-old still logged nine fewer tackles than the 2022 campaign when he tallied a career-high 28. Kpassagnon provided considerably more production than younger defensive ends Payton Turner and Isaiah Foskey, though these three will likely compete for a rotational role heading into the 2024 campaign.... Saints' Tanoh Kpassagnon: Goes berserk vs. Giants
Kpassagnon recorded six tackles (five solo) including three sacks in Sunday's 24-6 win versus the Giants. Kpassagnon went into Sunday's game with just half a sack on the entire season, but he tore off three in Week 15, setting a new career high in that category. With Cameron Jordan currently tending to an ankle injury, Kpassagnon could be in line for an expanded role in Week 16.... See More ... See Less -
Saints' Tanoh Kpassagnon: Reaches new deal with New Orleans
The Saints signed Kpassagnon to a two-year extension Monday, NFL.com reports. Kpassagnon is now slated to remain with the Saints through the next couple of years following his 28-tackle, two-sack 2022 campaign. The 28-year-old will presumably continue operating as a rotational defensive end behind starters Cameron Jordan and Marcus Davenport this coming season.... See More ... See Less -
Saints' Tanoh Kpassagnon: Battling illness as camp opens
Kpassagnon (illness) was placed on the active/non-football illness list Tuesday, Katherine Terrell of The Athletic reports. New Orleans placed both Kpassagnon and tight end Nick Vannett on the active/non-football illness list to open training camp. Kpassagnon can be removed from this list at any time and will be eligible to practice as soon as that happens.... See More ... See Less -
Saints' Tanoh Kpassagnon: Placed on IR
Kpassagnon (ankle) was put on injured reserve Thursday, Field Yates of ESPN reports. The defensive end was expected to miss his third consecutive game in Week 13, but he will now be out for at least three more contests. In Kpassagnon's absence, Carl Granderson and Jalyn Holmes will continue operating as the primary depth options at edge rusher.... See More ... See Less -
Saints' Tanoh Kpassagnon: Ruled out for Week 13
Kpassagnon (ankle) won't play Thursday against the Cowboys. Kpassagnon will miss a third consecutive game due to this injury. He was unable to practice in any fashion this week, suggesting the defensive lineman's return isn't imminent, but perhaps the 10 days between this game and New Orleans' Week 14 matchup with the Jets will provide enough time for Kpassagnon to make his return.... Saints' Tanoh Kpassagnon: Ruled out to face Bills
Kpassagnon (ankle) has been ruled out of Thursday's game against the Bills. The absence of Kpassagnon shouldn't be surprising since he didn't practice at all during the week -- the same thing that happened with the four players who eventually got ruled out of playing Thanksgiving. The former Villanova standout hasn't featured for the Saints since Week 10, and his next chance to play will come on Dec. 2 at home against the Cowboys.... See More ... See Less -
Saints' Tanoh Kpassagnon: Won't play Sunday
Kpassagnon (ankle) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Eagles. Kpassagnon was unable to practice this week and will be unavailable against the Eagles as a result. Carl Granderson and Jalyn Holmes will serve as the primary depth edge rushers.... See More ... See Less -
Chiefs' Tanoh Kpassagnon: Questionable for Week 7
Kpassagnon (ankle) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Bengals. Kpassagnon was limited in Friday's practice after participating fully to begin the week. With Justin Houston (hamstring) listed as doubtful for Sunday's game against the Bengals, Kpassagnon could be in line for a large defensive role if he's healthy enough to suit up.... See More ... Chiefs' Tanoh Kpassagnon: Questionable for Sunday
Kpassagnon (ankle) was a limited participant in Friday's practice and is questionable for Sunday's game against the Patriots. Kpassagnon left Sunday's game against the Jaguars with the ankle injury and was unable to return. Friday was the only day the linebacker was able to put any work into practice, so he will likely end up being a game-time decision in New England.... See More ... See Less -
Chiefs' Tanoh Kpassagnon: Returns to game action
Kpassagnon (shin) led all Chiefs defensive linemen with 49 snaps in Friday's preseason game against the 49ers. Kpassagnon had been dealing with shin splints, so a return to health and preseason game action bodes well as he competes for meaningful snaps.... See More ... See Less
