Williams (knee) was placed on injured reserve Wednesday. Williams suffered a torn ACL in Monday's loss to the Titans and had already been ruled out for the remainder of the season. Liam Eichenberg (calf) is expected to take over at center, but he is one of many Miami offensive linemen currently suffering from an injury, so it may ultimately be Jonotthan Harrison, who was signed from the practice squad Wednesday starting at center against the Jets on Sunday.... Dolphins' Connor Williams: Suffers torn ACL
Head coach Mike McDaniel told reporters Tuesday that Williams (knee) is out for the remainder of the season after sustaining a torn ACL in Week 13, Daniel Oyefusi of the Miami Herald reports. Williams had missed four games with a groin issue earlier in the year, and he now won't be able to return until next season after suffering a torn ACL on Monday night. Liam Eichenberg, who's started eight games at multiple positions on the Dolphins' offensive line in 2023, is expected to assume the starting center duties for the remainder of the season.... Dolphins' Connor Williams: Day-to-day with groin
Coach Mike McDaniel said Monday that Williams (groin) is day-to-day, Joe Schad of The Palm Beach Post reports. Miami's injury report Wednesday will provide clarity regarding his status for Week 4 at Buffalo.... See More ... See Less -
Dolphins' Connor Williams: Leaves with injury Sunday
Williams (groin) is questionable to return to Sunday's game against the Broncos. Williams appears to have sustained a groin injury at some point during the second half, though the nature and severity of this issue are still unclear. With Miami currently leading 42-13 early in the third quarter, it's possible the team may choose to keep its starting center sidelined as a precaution. Williams' absence should leave Liam Eichenberg to take over at center for the Dolphins.... See More ... See Less -
Dolphins' Connor Williams: Wants new contract
Williams wasn't present for the first day of mandatory minicamp because he wants a new contract, Joe Schad of The Palm Beach Post reports. Williams missed OTAs as well, but he's now recorded an unexcused absence after skipping out on the start of Miami's mandatory offseason program. Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel didn't appear too upset about the center's absence, suggesting a deal is in the works, but until Williams returns, Dan Feeney and Alama Uluave will presumably split duties with the first team....
