  • Eloy Jimenez DH | CHW

White Sox's Eloy Jimenez: Goes deep in win

Jimenez went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Sunday's 5-1 win over the Cardinals.

Jimenez entered Sunday's matchup without a home run in his last six contests, but he was able to snap that streak with a solo shot, launching his fourth homer of the year in the top of the seventh inning off reliever Giovanny Gallegos. The long ball gave the team a 2-1 lead, and the right-hander has now recorded at least one hit in seven of his last nine games, batting .270 with two home runs, five RBI and six runs scored over that stretch.

  • Ryan O'Hearn DH | BAL

Orioles' Ryan O'Hearn: Idle against lefty

O'Hearn is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Reds.

The lefty-hitting O'Hearn finds himself on the bench for the second day in a row while Cincinnati brings another southpaw (Nick Lodolo) to the hill. O'Hearn's absence will allow the Orioles to give infielder Gunnar Henderson a day off playing defense, as the third-year player instead serves as Baltimore's designated hitter.

  • Royals' Nelson Velazquez: On bench Sunday

Velazquez is out of the lineup for Sunday's game versus the Rangers.

Velazquez went 1-for-4 with a double and a run Saturday but still has just two hits over his past 11 games. Salvador Perez is resting his legs at designated hitter Sunday while Freddy Fermin starts behind the plate.

  • Wyatt Langford DH | TEX

Rangers' Wyatt Langford: Held out of Sunday's lineup

Langford (hamstring) is out of the lineup for Sunday's game at Kansas City.

The 22-year-old departed Saturday's 15-4 win due to right hamstring tightness and will miss at least one start while the Rangers wait for the results of his MRI, according to Evan Grant of The Dallas Morning News. Corey Seager will serve as the DH while Langford sits on Sunday, as Josh Smith starts at shortstop and Ezequiel Duran at third base.

  • Mitch Garver DH | SEA

Mariners' Mitch Garver: Swats pair of doubles Saturday

Garver went 2-for-5 with an RBI double and another two-bagger in a win over the Astros on Saturday.

Garver plated Jorge Polanco with his fourth-inning double, giving him his fourth RBI over the last seven games. The veteran offseason acquisition's solid performance Saturday notwithstanding, the early portion of his Mariners tenure qualifies as a considerable disappointment that's illustrated by his anemic .152/.262/.315 slash line and 32.7 percent strikeout rate across 107 plate appearances.

  • Willie Calhoun DH | LAA

Angels' Willie Calhoun: Gaining traction in everyday lineup

Calhoun will serve as the Angels' designated hitter and cleanup batter in Sunday's game against the Guardians.

Calhoun will stick in the starting nine for the third straight game after going 4-for-8 with two doubles and one run to begin his tenure with the Angels. At least while Miguel Sano (knee) and Anthony Rendon (hamstring) are on the injured list, the lefty-hitting Calhoun should be in store for regular starts as the Angels' DH against right-handed pitching.

  • Rays' Harold Ramirez: Stepping out of lineup

Ramirez is out of the lineup for Sunday's game versus the Mets.

Ramirez went 3-for-8 with a run and three strikeouts while starting the first two games of the series but will take a seat for Sunday's finale. Amed Rosario will receive a turn at designated hitter while Richie Palacios starts at the keystone.

  • Wyatt Langford DH | TEX

Rangers' Wyatt Langford: Departs with hamstring tightness

Langford exited Saturday's game against the Royals in the fifth inning due to right hamstring tightness, Evan Grant of The Dallas Morning News reports.

Langford slowed up noticeably while trying to beat out a dribbler in front of the plate in the top of the fifth inning and was removed for defense prior to the bottom of the frame. The rookie figures to be sent for an MRI to determine the extent of the injury. Langford was hitless in three plate appearances Saturday before being lifted.

  • Ryan O'Hearn DH | BAL

Orioles' Ryan O'Hearn: Gets breather against lefty

O'Hearn isn't in the Orioles' lineup Saturday against the Reds, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports.

O'Hearn will stay put in the Orioles' dugout as the Reds send out lefty Andrew Abbott to start on the mound. Adley Rutschman will serve as Baltimore's DH while O'Hearn rests, allowing James McCann to start behind the plate.

  • Guardians' Estevan Florial: Sits down against lefty

Florial isn't in the Guardians' lineup Saturday against the Angels.

The left-handed bat of Florial will step out of the lineup Saturday as southpaw Reid Detmers prepares to start for the Halos. His absence will move Bo Naylor into the DH role while Austin Hedges draws a start at catcher.
