Blackhawks' Corey Perry: Reaches deal with Chicago
Perry signed a one-year, $4 million contract with the Blackhawks on Thursday, Pierre LeBrun of TSN reports.
The Blackhawks have plenty of cap space, so they have no qualms about signing a 38-year-old for such money. Perry will provide the Blackhawks a veteran voice in the room as they navigate their rebuild. He could chip in roughly 20 points and could also see some power-play time.

Blackhawks' Corey Perry: Rights moved on draft day
Perry's free agent rights were traded from the Lightning to the Blackhawks in exchange for a 2025 seventh-round pick Thursday.
Perry has reshaped his game to play a pesky fourth-line role over the past few seasons and he should continue to provide leadership to whatever team he plays for in 2023-24. The Hawks will have until free agency opens Saturday to negotiate a new deal for the veteran winger.

Lightning's Corey Perry: Four points in last two games
Perry scored a goal Thursday in a 7-2 loss to Toronto in Game 2.
Perry was in fine form yet again. The Worm was under the Leafs skin throughout and came an assist shy of a Gordie Howe hat trick. Perry fought Justin Holl in the third period after picking up the goal, but faced the ire of fans when it became clear he threw the first punch without dropping his glove. He was serenaded to chants of "Perry Sucks" and a fan was even ejected from the arena for taunting Perry in the box. Perry has a goal in each of the first two games, and four points in that span.

Lightning's Corey Perry: Three-point night in Toronto
Perry had a goal, two assists and seven shots in Tuesday's 7-3 Game 1 win over the Maple Leafs.
The goal and one assist came on the man advantage, but that power-play production was preceded by Perry's helper on Pierre-Edouard Bellemare's tone-setting tally just 1:18 into the game. The 2011 Rocket Richard Trophy winner no longer dominates on a nightly basis at age 37, but Perry's still capable of delivering vintage performances, and he picked a good time for one in the first game of the Stanley Cup playoffs.

Lightning's Corey Perry: Not playing Sunday
Perry is not in Sunday's lineup against New Jersey, Chris Krenn of the Lightning's official site reports.
Perry had suited up in each of the Lightning's first 70 games this season but appears to be a healthy scratch Sunday. The veteran winger has posted a minus-12 rating with 18 PIM and zero points in his last 14 games. Patrick Maroon will be back in the lineup in a fourth-line role.

Lightning's Corey Perry: Contributes assist Tuesday
Perry posted an assist in Tuesday's 4-3 shootout win over the Avalanche.
Perry helped out on Vladislav Namestnikov's game-tying goal in the third period. This was Perry's first assist since Jan. 16, but he remained productive with four goals over 10 games in that span. The 37-year-old winger doesn't generate offense or log ice time like he used to, but he's been a solid bottom-six player this season. He's at 21 points (12 on the power play), 81 shots on net, 56 PIM, 32 hits and a minus-14 rating through 53 appearances.

Lightning's Corey Perry: Lights lamp twice in win
Perry scored two goals, one on the power play, in Tuesday's 4-2 win over the Wild.
Both tallies came in the second period as Perry tipped home long-range shots. The 37-year-old had only two points, a goal and an assist, over his prior 15 games, and what fantasy value Perry still possesses comes from his spot on the power play -- he has five goals and 11 points with the man advantage, the first time he's reached double-digit power-play points in a season since 2017-18, but he has only three goals and seven points at even strength through 46 games.

Perry has gone nine games without a point and 11 games without a goal.
Perry is performing in a bottom-six role for Tampa after a long career as a sniper. His last point was an assist December 17 against Montreal and his goal came December 13 against Seattle. Lightning's Corey Perry: Earns game-winning tally
Perry scored a second-period goal during a 6-2 victory over the visiting Kraken on Tuesday.
Perry notched his fifth goal of the season on the power play at 12:13 of the second period Tuesday, giving the Lightning a 3-1 advantage. The 37-year-old right winger is skating as he did a decade ago, collecting seven points in his past six appearances. Lightning's Corey Perry: Two apples keep doctor away
Perry delivered two assists Thursday in a 4-1 win over the Flyers.
One came on the power play. Perry has three points (one goal, two assists) in his last three games, but the grizzled veteran has just eight points (three goals, five assists) in 23 games. Perry is one game shy of 1,200 regular-season contests, and at this stage, he's on the downslope of his career. There's not much fantasy value here, but it's still fun to watch him put in the proverbial 110 percent every night.

Perry scored a goal on two shots during Monday's 6-5 overtime win over the host Sabres.
Perry, who has 408 career goals, notched his first tally in 15 games Monday. The 37-year-old right winger earned just one assist during the prolonged slump that started Oct. 25. Perry recorded two shots during 10:49 of ice time, including 1:34 on the power play, against the Sabres.

Lightning's Corey Perry: Offense has dried up
Perry has gone 13 games without a goal.
Perry got off to a quick start with four points in his first six games, but his offense has all but dried up since. He has just one assist in the next 13 games. Perry does have 21 shots and 15 PIM in that span, but that's slim for fantasy pickings.

Lightning's Corey Perry: Ignites offense early
Perry scored a goal and was credited with an assist Friday as the Lightning overwhelmed the Blue Jackets 5-2.
Perry, a former 50-goal scorer, is producing again. It didn't take long for the 37-year-old right winger to record his first points of 2022-23. Last season was a different story. Perry didn't register a point until the Lightning's 10th contest. He went 17 games without a goal but turned it around during the second half. The 2003 first-round draft pick remains confident he can build off last season's 19-goal output, his highest in four seasons.

Lightning's Corey Perry: On losing side again
Perry has now lost three straight Stanley Cup Finals, all with different teams, after the Lightning lost 2-1 to Colorado on Sunday.
Perry followed up a solid regular-season performance in which he recorded 40 points in 82 games with a strong playoffs that saw him garner six goals and five assists in 23 contests. Assuming the 37-year-old wants to continue playing next year, he figures to remain in a bottom-six role for the Lightning while serving as somewhat of a power-play specialist.

Perry logged two assists, two shots on goal and two hits in Friday's 3-2 win over the Avalanche in Game 5.
Perry set up a Jan Rutta goal in the first period and added the secondary helper on a Nikita Kucherov power-play marker in the second. The two-point effort was Perry's first since Game 1 of the second round versus the Panthers. The 37-year-old continues to provide a gritty veteran presence on the third line and first power-play unit. He's collected six goals, five helpers, 42 shots, 22 hits, 26 PIM and a minus-2 rating in 22 playoff outings.
