The 20-year-old Beck is poised for his first taste of AHL action this season after producing 81 points in 57 regular-season games between OHL clubs in Peterborough and Saginaw last season. As one of the Canadiens' top prospects, he could get a look in the NHL later this season if he adjusts to the AHL well.
