Panthers' Evan Cormier: Reassigned to ECHL
Cormier was reassigned to the Florida Everblades of the ECHL on Sunday.
Cormier was brought up Saturday to back up Sergei Bobrovsky due to Anthony Stolarz being unavailable with an illness. The 26-year-old Cormier will now return to the ECHL, where he's 8-6-3 with a .906 save percentage this year.

Panthers' Evan Cormier: Recalled from ECHL
The Panthers recalled Cormier from ECHL Florida on Saturday, according to Jameson Olive of the Panthers' official site.
Cormier will replace Anthony Stolarz (illness) on the roster and back up Sergei Bobrovsky on Saturday versus Tampa Bay. Cormier has seen AHL and ECHL action this season. Look for the Panthers to return Cormier to the minors after the contest, as they do not play again until Thursday versus Nashville.

Panthers' Evan Cormier: Heads to AHL
Cormier was released from his professional tryout agreement and assigned to AHL Charlotte on Sunday.
Cormier signed a one-year, AHL contract with the Checkers in July. He posted a 10-20-3 record with a 3.19 GAA and a .908 save percentage in 35 appearances with ECHL Kalamazoo. He also went 1-1-0 with a 2.54 GAA and a .925 save percentage in two outings for AHL Manitoba during the 2022-23 campaign.

Jets' Evan Cormier: Signed and then waived
Cormier signed a one-year, two-way contract with the Jets and was subsequently placed on waivers Wednesday.
Cormier will presumably head to Winnipeg's AHL affiliate if he passes through waivers unclaimed. The 25-year-old netminder has gone 6-16-3 while posting a 3.29 GAA and a .905 save percentage through 27 appearances with the ECHL's Kalamazoo Wings this season.

Evan Cormier: Dropped from tryout with Panthers
Cormier was released from his tryout with the Panthers on Tuesday.
The Panthers likely reached out to Cormier to account for the possibility that 39-year-old starting backstop Roberto Luongo won't be able to handle 50-plus starts this season; after all, such a scenario would alter the goalie pecking order in Florida. However, primary backup James Reimer has appeared in 43 and 44 games, respectively, the past two seasons, and Michael Hutchinson is in the mix as well, actively drawing starts in the preseason. Cormier recorded a 3.18 GAA and .900 save percentage over 61 games for the Saginaw Spirit of the OHL last season, which was only good enough for a 24-24-0 record. Clearly, he's not ready for the big stage.
