  • Bills' Dawson Knox: New competition in TE room

Dawson will likely face some competition for targets after the Bills selected Dalton Kincaid in the first round of the 2023 NFL Draft on Thursday. The Bills traded up with the Jaguars to land Kincaid, so we'd think Buffalo has big plans for the rookie and doesn't plan to have him doing a lot of sitting around. That said, the two new teammates have different skill sets, so perhaps they could be sharing the field together in two-TE sets. Nevertheless, even if Knox remains the clear-cut starter for another season, it's yet another mouth to feed in an offense where he's already been serving as the fourth or fifth option.

  • Bills' Dawson Knox: Leads team in receiving

Knox caught five of seven targets for 65 yards in Sunday's 27-10 loss to the Bengals in the AFC divisional round. Knox comfortably led the Bills in receiving yards, with his total including a game-long catch of 32 yards while Buffalo tried catching up during the fourth quarter. While his team's offense mostly struggled in the snow Sunday, Knox turned in another solid regular season, catching 48 of 65 targets for 517 yards and six touchdowns in 15 games. With the security of a four-year extension signed back in September, Knox figures to remain a reliable complement for quarterback Josh Allen in 2023.

  • Bills' Dawson Knox: Catches TD in win

Knox caught three of five targets for 20 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 34-31 win over the Dolphins in the wild-card round. Knox opened the scoring with an outstanding, one-handed catch on a six-yard bullet from quarterback Josh Allen during the first quarter. With that grab, Knox extended his scoring streak to five straight games, making him a significant threat as the Bills march into the AFC divisional round next weekend.

  • Bills' Dawson Knox: Scoring streak continues

Knox caught both of his targets for 13 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 35-23 win over the Patriots. That makes four straight games with a score for Knox, who rallied to finish with a 48-517-6 line for the season, quite similar to his 49-587-9 line from 2021. Knox will remain a key red-zone option when the Bills begin their playoff march Sunday against the division-rival Dolphins, who were one of only four teams this season to allow double-digit receiving touchdowns to tight ends.

  • Bills' Dawson Knox: TEs to Start

Knox will hopefully stay hot in Week 18 against the Patriots, and he scored a touchdown in each of his previous three games. Now, that three-game streak started after a dud against the Patriots in Week 13 when he had no catches on one target, but New England has allowed a tight end to score in two of its past three games. And the Patriots are one of four teams this season to allow at least 10 touchdowns to opposing tight ends, along with Detroit, Arizona and Miami.

  • Bills' Dawson Knox: Cleared for Week 18 action

Knox (hip) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game against the Patriots. Knox joined quarterback Josh Allen (ankle/elbow) as a limited participant at Thursday's practice, but both players took every rep at Friday's session to remove any lingering doubt about their statuses for the regular-season finale. Though he's noticed some regression in his touchdown count after finding the end zone a career-high nine times in 2021, Knox has more or less matched his receiving output from the previous season. He enters Sunday's game holding season-long averages of 3.3 catches, 36 yards and 4.5 targets per contest, roughly in line with his averages from 2021 (3.3, 39.1 and 4.7).

  • Bills' Dawson Knox: Limited at Thursday's session

The Bills list Knox (hip) as a limited participant at Thursday's practice. After being listed a full participant at Wednesday's walk-through practice, Knox took a step back in terms of activity while the Bills reconvened for a more traditional workout Thursday. At this stage, the team hasn't indicated that Knox's hip issue is anything that seriously threatens his status for Sunday's game against the Patriots, but his availability for that contest won't be confirmed until Buffalo releases its final Week 18 injury report Friday.

  • Bills' Dawson Knox: TEs to Start

Knox has been a star of late with at least 12 PPR points in three games in a row, including three touchdowns over that span. In two of those games he has at least seven targets, and he's become a security blanket for Josh Allen, which is great. He's a must-start tight end in all leagues with an expected shootout coming Monday night at Cincinnati.

  • Bills' Dawson Knox: Ready for Monday

Knox (hip) does not carry an injury designation into Monday's contest against the Bengals. Knox was a full participant in Saturday's practice clearing the way for the talented tight end to suit up in a pivotal AFC battle with high seeding at stake. The 26-year-old has caught a touchdown in each of the last three games after scoring just two through the first 13 weeks of the season.

  • Bills' Dawson Knox: Logs another limited practice

Knox (hip) remained limited at practice Friday. Alaina Getzenberg of ESPN.com previously relayed that Knox had downplayed what he described as a "little hip pointer. Nothing major." However, after back-to-back limited listings, the tight end will presumably need to practice fully Saturday in order to avoid approaching Monday night's game against the Bengals with an injury designation.

  • Bills' Dawson Knox: Limited by hip issue

Knox was a limited participant at practice Thursday due to a hip injury. Per Alaina Getzenberg of ESPN.com,, Knox is downplaying what he previously described as a "little hip pointer." He sported a red no-contact jersey at Thursday's practice, according to Matt Parrino of The Syracuse Post-Standard. The tight end now has two more chances to increase his practice activity ahead of Monday's game against the Bengals, but Knox will probably need to practice in full capacity by Saturday in order to avoid carrying an injury designation into the contest.

  • Bills' Dawson Knox: Gets into end zone Saturday

Knox secured three of five targets for 38 yards and a touchdown in the Bills' 35-13 win over the Bears on Saturday. Knox tied for the team lead in receptions while finishing second in receiving yards on a modest day for the air attack overall. However, he rewarded fantasy managers with a 13-yard scoring grab with just over a minute remaining, his third in as many contests. Knox's expanded role has come at a critical time of the fantasy season, and he'll next tangle with the tough Bengals defense in a Week 17 road matchup on Monday night, Jan. 2.

  • Bills' Dawson Knox: TEs to Start

I've been reluctant to trust Knox, but it's hard to overlook his production from the past two games. Against the Jets and Dolphins, Knox has combined for 10 catches for 139 yards and two touchdowns on 15 targets, and he scored at least 14 PPR points in each outing. He's become the second-best receiver for the Bills behind Stefon Diggs of late, and Josh Allen is leaning on him down the stretch. The Bears are No. 4 in fewest Fantasy points allowed to opposing tight ends, but I still like Knox as a top-10 tight end in all leagues based on his recent level of play.

  • Bills' Dawson Knox: Week 16 Early Waiver Targets (Add/Drop)

Knox has been one of the bigger disappointments at the position so far this season, and things hit a low point when he caught just two passes on three targets between Weeks 12 and 13. However, he's bounced back nicely over the past two weeks, catching 10 of 15 passes thrown his way for 139 yards and a touchdown in each of his past two games. The Bills have been pretty desperate in searching for more help in the passing game, even going so far as to add old faces Cole Beasley and John Brown in recent weeks. But maybe they've rediscovered something with Knox. He's got a pretty good matchup against the Bears in Week 16, and will be in the streaming TE discussion, at least.

  • Bills' Dawson Knox: Season-high 98 yards

Knox recorded six receptions on eight targets for 98 yards and a touchdown in Saturday's 32-29 win over the Dolphins. Knox paced the team in both receptions and yards, and the performance marked only the second time he caught more than five passes in a game this season. He also delivered a season-best 98 yards on the strength of long gains of 45 and 21 yards. Knox also delivered a five-yard touchdown reception early in the fourth quarter, his fourth of the season and second in as many games. While this was a positive performance, Knox entered the contest having racked up only 58 yards across his last three matchups combined.

  • Bills' Dawson Knox: Bust Alert (Start/Sit)

Knox scored in Week 14 against the Jets, becoming the first tight end to score against the Jets this season. Maybe he can build off that performance in Week 15 against the Dolphins, but I'm skeptical. He only had four catches for 25 yards on four targets in Week 3 at Miami, and in his past four meetings with the Dolphins, he hasn't scored more than nine PPR points in any game. I would only start Knox in deeper leagues in Week 15.

  • Bills' Dawson Knox: Finds end zone in Week 14

Knox caught four of seven targets for 41 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 20-12 win over the Jets. Knox somersaulted into the end zone for a 24-yard touchdown in the final minute of the first half for the game's first points. The tight end finished as Buffalo's leader in targets, catches and receiving yards in addition to scoring the team's only touchdown through the air. This was a nice bounce-back effort for Knox after he was shut out by the Patriots in Week 13. He'll face the Dolphins in Week 15.

  • Bills' Dawson Knox: Bust Alert (Start/Sit)

The Jets and the Bills are the two teams yet to allow a tight end to score a touchdown this season, and Knox already struggled against the Jets in Week 9 with three catches for 25 yards on four targets. He's been in a slump also for the past two games against the Lions and Patriots with two catches for 17 yards on three targets over that span. Given his recent lackluster play and the matchup with the Jets, it's easy to fade Knox this week in the majority of leagues.

  • Bills' Dawson Knox: Shut out in Thursday night win

Knox failed to haul in his only target during Thursday's win over the Patriots. Knox has had a disappointing season, but this was the first time he's been shut out completely, and the single target also represents a season low. Knox hasn't seen the end zone since Week 8, as the potent offense continues to focus around other players. Knox is too good of a player to not have his moments before the season closes, but he's also becoming tough to rely upon, as the last two weeks have shown.

  • Bills' Dawson Knox: Held to two catches by Lions

Knox caught both of his targets for 17 yards in Thursday's 28-25 win over Detroit. After leading the team in catches and receiving yards during Week 11, Knox wasn't nearly as involved four days later. The 26-year-old tight end has flashed talent, but he's having trouble carving out a consistent role in a Bills offense with plenty of other weapons. Knox has topped 50 yards only twice this season while finding the end zone just twice after scoring nine touchdowns in his breakout 2021 campaign.
