  • Jayson Tatum PF | BOS

Celtics' Jayson Tatum: Sniffs triple-double in Game 2 win

Tatum notched 18 points (6-22 FG, 1-7 3Pt, 5-6 FT), nine rebounds, 12 assists and one steal across 45 minutes during Sunday's 105-98 win over the Mavericks in Game 2 of the NBA Finals.

Tatum struggled massively from the field and needed 22 shots to score 18 points, but he compensated for the lack of efficiency with an elite showing on both ends of the court. He ended just one rebound shy of a triple-double, and he also became the third player in team history to record at least 18 points, nine rebounds and 12 assists in an NBA Finals game, joining two franchise legends in Larry Bird and Bob Cousy. His subpar shooting percentages could hurt fantasy managers a bit, but that won't matter much if he continues to put up these elite all-around numbers throughout the rest of the series.

  • Derrick White SG | BOS

Celtics' Derrick White: Makes clutch block in Game 2 win

White finished Sunday's 105-98 win over the Mavericks in Game 2 of the NBA Finals with 18 points (6-15 FG, 4-10 3Pt, 2-2 FT), five rebounds, two assists, two blocks and three steals in 38 minutes.

White will grab most of the headlines following this Game 2 win due to a game-saving block in the dying stages of the fourth quarter when the Mavericks were inching closer to mounting a comeback, and he also made some clutch buckets in the second half every time Dallas posed a threat. White will rarely carry the Celtics on offense, but the little things he does on both ends of the court are essential for the Celtics to be two games away from winning the NBA title. White's versatility and excellent three-point stroke make him a strong fantasy play across all formats.

  • Mavericks' Daniel Gafford: Close to double-double in loss

Gafford amassed 13 points (6-9 FG, 1-4 FT), nine rebounds and one block across 23 minutes during Sunday's 105-98 loss to the Celtics in Game 2 of the NBA Finals.

Gafford was efficient from the field and finished just one rebound shy of a double-double, but he had problems dealing with Kristaps Porzingis once again. The fact that the Celtics' big men can play on the perimeter has limited Gafford's defensive influence. Gafford has now posted at least eight rebounds in three of his last four playoff appearances.

  • Kyrie Irving PG | DAL

Mavericks' Kyrie Irving: Scores 16 points Sunday

Irving accumulated 16 points (7-18 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 2-2 FT), two rebounds and six assists over 41 minutes during Sunday's 105-98 loss to the Celtics in Game 2 of the NBA Finals.

Irving improved his shooting percentages and his overall stat line compared to the series opener, but the result was the same, and the Mavericks are now down by two games in the NBA Finals. Irving has had a rough time dealing with the Celtics' suffocating defense, as Boston has alternated between Jaylen Brown, Jrue Holiday and Derrick White against Irving, and those mismatches have limited his efficiency. Irving has now failed to reach the 20-point mark in three of his last four playoff appearances, and he'll aim to bounce back in Game 3 on Wednesday.

  • Luka Doncic PG | DAL

Mavericks' Luka Doncic: Triple-doubles in Game 2 loss

Doncic amassed 32 points (12-21 FG, 4-9 3Pt, 4-8 FT), 11 rebounds, 11 assists and four steals over 42 minutes during Sunday's 105-98 loss to the Celtics in Game 2 of the NBA Finals.

Doncic recorded his third triple-double across his last six playoff appearances. Still, the star guard was uncomfortable all game long, as he was seen arguing with officials and wasn't happy about a few calls against him. Despite the team's overall struggles and the fact the Mavericks are now 0-2 in the series, Doncic remains a dominant player in all fantasy formats. While he's likely to land on the injury report before Game 3 on Wednesday, it seems unlikely that he'll miss a game, especially with the Mavericks trailing in the series.

  • Celtics' Kristaps Porzingis: No concern regarding calf issue

Coach Joe Mazzulla said after Sunday's win over the Mavericks that he isn't concerned about Porzingis' calf heading into Wednesday's Game 3, Tim Bontemps of ESPN.com reports.

Porzingis logged 12 points (4-7 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 4-4 FT), four rebounds, two blocks and an assist in 23 minutes during Sunday's victory, but he exited the matchup with 4:40 remaining and didn't return. He appeared to be getting his calf looked at on the team's bench area, but the issue isn't expected to be a concern as the NBA Finals roll on.

  • Luka Doncic PG | DAL

Mavericks' Luka Doncic: Available for Game 2

Doncic (knee/ankle/chest) is available for Game 2 of the NBA Finals against the Celtics on Sunday.

Doncic was downgraded to questionable for Sunday's matchup due to a thoracic contusion and was considered a game-time decision, but he's been cleared to suit up after his participation in pregame warmups. He tallied 30 points, 10 rebounds, two steals and an assist in 38 minutes during Thursday's Game 1 loss.

Mavericks' Luka Doncic: Considered game-time decision

Doncic (knee/ankle/chest) is considered a game-time decision for Game 2 of the NBA Finals against the Celtics on Sunday, Tomer Azarly of ClutchPoints.com reports.

Doncic was downgraded to questionable ahead of Sunday's Game 2, but NBA writer Marc Stein reported earlier in the day that the point guard was on track to play. However, coach Jason Kidd said during his pregame press conference that Doncic will go through warmups before the Mavericks determine his status for the matchup. If Doncic is cleared to play, Dallas may monitor his playing time as the Mavericks attempt to even the series.

Mavericks' Luka Doncic: Expected to play Sunday

Doncic (knee/ankle/chest) is listed as questionable for Game 2 of the NBA Finals versus the Celtics on Sunday but is expected to play, NBA writer Marc Stein reports.

Doncic was previously downgraded from probable to questionable due to a thoracic contusion, but he is expected to suit up for the crucial Game 2 in Boston. The All-Star was in clear discomfort during Saturday's shootaround, notably grabbing at his chest. However, he's dealt with a litany of injuries throughout the playoffs, including a right knee sprain and left ankle soreness. Despite those issues, Doncic hasn't missed a game during the postseason, averaging 28.8 points, 9.7 rebounds, 8.4 assists and 1.7 steals in 41.3 minutes.

Mavericks' Luka Doncic: Downgraded to questionable

Doncic has been downgraded to questionable for Sunday's Game 2 of the NBA Finals against the Celtics due to a thoracic contusion.

Doncic has been a regular on the injury report throughout the postseason due to a right knee sprain and left ankle soreness but is now listed with a thoracic contusion. He appeared to grab at his chest/rib area during Saturday's practice, per Tomer Azarly of ClutchPoints.com, but the new injury wasn't added to the report until after he missed the media portion of Dallas' morning shootaround Sunday. It'd be a major shock if Doncic doesn't suit up for Game 2, but the superstar point guard may be limited if he gets the green light. Doncic posted 30 points, 10 rebounds and one assist in 38 minutes during Game 1.
