Blackhawks' Petr Mrazek: Gets little help in loss
Mrazek made 30 saves in Sunday's 4-1 loss to the Wild.
The veteran netminder didn't play badly -- two of Minnesota's goals came on power plays, and Mrazek held the Wild off the board in the third period to give his squad a chance to mount a comeback -- but he once again got little support. Mrazek has dropped five of his last six decisions, giving up at least three goals in each appearance while stumbling to an .863 save percentage, but Chicago appears content to keep him in the No. 1 job for now.

Blackhawks' Petr Mrazek: Falls to former club
Mrazek stopped 24 shots in Thursday's 5-1 loss to the Red Wings.
Special teams were the difference in this one, as two of Detroit's goals came on power plays while a third was scored shorthanded. It's Mrazek's fourth regulation loss in his last five outings, and the 31-year-old netminder hasn't allowed fewer than three goals in a start since Nov. 4, posting a shaky 3.71 GAA and .884 save percentage on the month. Arvid Soderblom isn't playing any better, however, so the duo will likely continue to split the workload in the crease for a rebuilding Chicago squad.

The victory was his first since Nov. 9 in Tampa Bay and ended Mrazek's three-game personal losing streak.

Blackhawks' Petr Mrazek: Lifted in second period
Mrazek gave up five goals on 18 shots before being replaced by Arvid Soderblom midway through the second period of Wednesday's 7-3 loss to the Blue Jackets.
Chicago played an awful game as a whole, falling behind 3-0 in the first period before getting blown out of the building in the second, and coach Luke Richardson's hook was more an act of mercy toward Mrazek than anything else. The five goals allowed were a season high for the 31-year-old netminder, and he's lost three straight starts while giving up 11 tallies on 69 shots over that stretch. The swoon has left Mrazek with a 3.24 GAA and .904 save percentage, along with a 4-6-0 record.

Mrazek stopped 10 of 11 shots in relief of Arvid Soderblom in Monday's 8-1 loss to the Coyotes.

Both Mrazek and Soderblom figure to play during the Blackhawks' upcoming back-to-back versus the Panthers and Devils on Saturday and Sunday, respectively.
