Top Breece Hall News

  • Jets' Breece Hall: Doesn't do much with 19 touches

Hall (hamstring) rushed 13 times for 16 yards and caught six of eight targets for 29 yards in Sunday's 13-8 loss to the Falcons.

With defenses stacking the box and the offensive line failing to open up holes, Hall has been bottled up on the ground over the past two months. Since rushing for 117 yards and a touchdown against the Broncos in Week 5, Hall has just 198 rushing yards on 83 carries (2.4 YPC) and one rushing touchdown. Hall has made up for his struggles on the ground with contributions as a pass catcher over that seven-game span, catching 36 of 44 targets for 290 yards and two touchdowns. He didn't seem bothered by the hamstring injury that limited his practice participation leading up to Sunday's loss, and Hall hasn't had fewer than 14 touches in a game since Week 4, so he should continue to see plenty of volume in Week 14 against the Texans.

  • Jets' Breece Hall: Gets green light for Week 13 game

Hall (hamstring) is active for Sunday's game against the Falcons.

Hall had been listed as questionable heading into the weekend after the hamstring injury rendered him a limited participant in the Jets' first two Week 13 practice sessions, but much of the concern about his status was erased once he practiced fully Friday. Dalvin Cook (shoulder) is also active after being listed as questionable heading into Sunday, but Hall should continue to lead the way in terms of snaps and touches out of the Jets backfield so long as the game remains competitive. While drawing more focus from defenses in recent weeks, Hall has struggled to just 2.6 yards per carry over his last six games, but he's seen ample involvement in the passing game during that stretch (30-261-2 receiving line on 36 targets) to help make up for some of his shortcomings as a rusher.

  • Jets' Breece Hall: Expected to suit up vs. Falcons

Hall (hamstring) is expected to take the field Sunday versus Atlanta, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

Hall is officially listed as questionable for Week 13, despite coming off a full practice session Friday. He appears to be trending in the right direction for Sunday's contest, as does veteran backup Dalvin Cook (shoulder), who is also listed as questionable. Official word on the statuses of Hall and Cook will arrive when the Jets release their inactive list 90 minutes prior to Sunday's 1 p.m. ET kickoff.

  • Jets' Breece Hall: Questionable after full practice

Hall (hamstring) was a full participant in practice Friday but remains listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Falcons, Adam Caplan of SiriusXM NFL Radio reports.

The Jets' top three running backs are all questionable, as Hall's joined by Dalvin Cook (shoulder) and Israel Abanikanda (illness) on the injury report. Of the three, Hall is the only one that mustered a full practice Friday, suggesting he's in good position to handle his usual heavy workload as the Jets' lead back, barring a setback. Confirmation on Hall's availability will come approximately 90 minutes before Sunday's game kicks off at 1:00 p.m. ET.

  • Jets' Breece Hall: Another limited session

Hall (hamstring) remained a limited participant at practice Thursday, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports.

With another limited session under his belt, Hall will presumably need to practice fully Friday in order to approach Sunday's game against the Falcons without an injury designation. Assuming he's available this weekend, Hall will be in line to continue to lead the Jets backfield. If Hall ends up limited or sits out versus Atlanta, however, Dalvin Cook would be first in line for increased snaps and touches.
