Jaguars' Brenton Strange: Catches another touchdown
Rotowire
Strange secured all four of his targets for 24 yards and a touchdown during Sunday's 37-34 win against the Colts.
The 2023 second-round pick played 49 of 58 offensive snaps as Evan Engram (hamstring) sat out a fourth straight game after being labeled questionable. Strange wasn't significantly involved in the passing game but still finished tied for third on the team in targets and receptions while tallying his second touchdown of the season. Engram appears to be closing in on his return to game action, at which point Strange should see reduced opportunities as Jacksonville's No. 2 tight end.

Jaguars' Brenton Strange: Sleeper TEs
Rotowire
We'll see if Evan Engram (hamstring) can return in Week 5 against the Colts, but if he remains out then consider Strange a low-end starter in all leagues. Indianapolis has allowed a tight end to score at least 16.7 PPR points in each of the past two games against Cole Kmet and Pat Freiermuth, and Strange has scored at least 9.2 PPR points in two of three outings in place of Engram, including one touchdown over that span.

Jaguars' Brenton Strange: Brings in three targets
Rotowire
Strange secured all three of his targets for 19 yards during Sunday's' 24-20 loss to the Texans.
Strange has drawn three straight starts at tight end with Evan Engram (hamstring) sidelined, and has been the busier pass-catcher over Luke Farrell (zero catches, one target versus Houston). In that span, Strange has caught eight of 14 targets for 96 yards and one score. If Engram is able to get back on the field against the Colts in Week 5, however, Strange figures to return to a depth role.
In two games without Evan Engram, Strange has a 15% target share, and he ranks as a top-10 tight end with 9.4 PPR FPPG. Watch the injury report closely, but if Engram is out again, Strange is a fine streamer.

Jaguars' Brenton Strange: Week 4 Waiver Priority List
Rotowire
In two games without Evan Engram (hamstring), Strange has 11 targets for five catches, 77 yards and a touchdown over that span, and he's scored at least 9.2 PPR points in each outing. We'll see if Engram can return in Week 4 at Houston, but Strange could be a streaming option in deeper leagues. He's worth adding for 1 percent of your remaining FAB.

Jaguars' Brenton Strange: Scores second career TD
Rotowire
Strange secured two of five targets for 12 yards and a touchdown in the Jaguars' 47-10 loss to the Bills on Monday night.
The second-year tight end capped off the opening possession of the second half with a six-yard touchdown grab, his second career score. Strange was coming off a career-best 3-65-0 line on six targets against the Browns in Week 2, and he and Luke Farrell once again helped make up for the absence of Evan Engram (hamstring) on Monday night. If Engram is able to suit up for Sunday's Week 4 road clash against the Texans, both reserve tight ends figure to return to fantasy irrelevance except in very deep formats.

Jaguars' Brenton Strange: Sleeper TEs
Rotowire
Evan Engram (hamstring) is expected to be out again in Week 3 at Buffalo, which should allow Strange to have another prominent role for the Jaguars. In Week 2 against Cleveland with Engram out, Strange had six targets from Trevor Lawrence and caught three passes for 65 yards. Jacksonville will likely be chasing points in this game, and Lawrence will need reliable targets. He seems to like Strange, and he's worth using as a flier in deeper leagues in place of Engram.

Jaguars' Brenton Strange: Week 3 Waiver Priority List

We'll see if Evan Engram (hamstring) can play in Week 3 at Buffalo, but if he's out again, then Strange can be an option in deeper leagues. In Week 2 against Cleveland, Strange had a career day with three catches for 65 yards on six targets. Keep an eye on Engram during the week, but Strange is worth adding in deeper formats for 1 percent of your remaining FAB.

Jaguars' Brenton Strange: No targets Week 1
Rotowire
Strange wasn't targeted during Sunday's 20-17 loss to the Dolphins.
The 2023 second-round pick out-snapped Luke Farrell 19 to 14 on offense, but starter Evan Engram was the only Jacksonville tight end to be involved in the passing game. Strange caught five passes for 35 yards and a touchdown in 14 games as a rookie last year, and he's again opened 2024 in a minor role.
Strange finished the season with five catches on nine targets for 35 yards and a touchdown in 14 games.
The rookie second-round pick's first year in the NFL wasn't a particularly notable one, as he worked as Jacksonville's No. 3 tight end. Both Evan Engram and Luke Farrell remain under contract in 2024, but the latter is primarily a blocking tight end. Given the draft capital used to acquire Strange, it wouldn't be a surprise to see him move into a larger role next year.

Jaguars' Brenton Strange: Limited to begin Week 15 prep
Rotowire
Strange (foot) was a limited participant in practice Wednesday.
Strange has missed the Jaguars' past two games due to a foot injury, and he didn't practice at all last week. His ability to get in a limited session on the first day of Week 15 prep suggests that he's making progress, but the tight end's chance of returning to action against Baltimore on Sunday could hinge on how much he's able to practice the rest of the week. When healthy, Strange has had a fairly significant role as a blocker, but he's totaled just four catches on seven targets for 34 yards and one touchdown over 11 games.

Head coach Doug Peterson told reporters Friday that Strange wasn't expected to suit up this weekend, and he's since been officially ruled out for Sunday's affair. The Penn State product will have another opportunity to get back on the field Thursday, which he may need to make happen if he's going to suit up Sunday against the Browns.

Rotowire
Strange (foot) was a limited participant in Friday's practice.
The rookie tight end out of Penn State could be in jeopardy of missing Monday night's contest, as he seems to be nursing a foot issue. He'll likely carry an injury designation into Monday night's affair.

Jaguars' Brenton Strange: Duval bound
Rotowire
The Jaguars selected Strange in the second round of the 2023 NFL Draft, 61st overall.
Evan Engram is coming off a career year, but Jacksonville needed a tight end that offers more as a blocker and Strange can provide that to an extent. The Penn State product checks in at 6-foot-3 and 253 pounds with 4.7 speed and impressive leaping ability for a tight end. He caught 32 passes for 362 yards and five touchdowns as a senior and showed some natural ability in that regard that could translate to the next level. It may take time for him to find a fantasy-relevant role in Jacksonville, however.
