  • Hunter Kampmoyer: Back to practice squad

Kampmoyer reverted to the Chargers' practice squad Monday. Kampmoyer played eight snaps on special teams and one offense Sunday night against the Ravens but was unable to register any stats. This was just the first the 25-year-old has played this season, and he is still eligible to be elevated two more times.

  • Chargers' Hunter Kampmoyer: Bumped to active roster

The Chargers elevated Kampmoyer to the active roster Saturday. This is the first time Kampmoyer has been elevated this season. He joined the Chargers' practice squad Aug. 30 after being cut by the team two days prior ahead of the 53-man roster deadline. Kampmoyer's elevation comes as an insurance policy, with Gerald Everett (chest) listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Ravens.

  • Hunter Kampmoyer: Joins practice squad

Kampmoyer has joined the Chargers' practice squad. Kampmoyer was unable to make it through final roster cuts as a depth tight end behind Gerald Everett and Donald Parham (undisclosed), but he will now get to stay in Los Angeles as its de facto No. 5 tight end. The Oregon product can now continue practicing with the team and working to make an impression.

  • Hunter Kampmoyer: Waived by Chargers

The Chargers waived Kampmoyer on Monday, Daniel Popper of The Athletic reports. With Gerald Everett and Donald Parham locked in as the top two tight ends on the roster, Kampmoyer was a likely candidate to end up on the outside looking in when final roster cuts rolled around. He will now need to look for a new landing spot unless the Chargers offer him a spot on their practice squad.

  • Chargers' Hunter Kampmoyer: Lands future deal

The Chargers signed Kampmoyer to a reserve/future deal Monday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports. Kampmoyer spent the entire campaign on the Chargers' practice squad, but with his new deal, he'll have a chance to compete for an active roster spot throughout training camp. The undrafted tight end out of Oregon made one appearance for Los Angeles last year, but he failed to record any counting stats across three offensive snaps.

  • Hunter Kampmoyer: Returns on practice squad

The Chargers signed Kampmoyer to the practice squad Wednesday. Kampmoyer spent much of his 2021 rookie campaign on the Chargers' practice squad after joining the team as an undrafted free agent out of Oregon. The 24-year-old saw one elevation (three offensive snaps) from the team's practice squad last year, and he will once again look to establish a role as an emergency option at tight end in 2022.

  • Hunter Kampmoyer: Waived Tuesday

Kampmoyer was waived by the Chargers on Tuesday, Gilbert Manzano of The Orange County Register reports. It's at least promising that the rookie tight end appears destined for the team's practice squad, Daniel Popper of The Athletic reports. The undrafted free agent was primarily a blocking specialist throughout his collegiate career and likely would fill a similar role on the 53-man roster should he be promoted down the road.
