  • Chargers' Mike Williams: Teaming up with Herbert again

Williams agreed Wednesday with the Chargers on a one-year contract worth up to $6 million, Jordan Schultz of Fox Sports reports. Williams was selected by the Chargers in the first round of the 2017 NFL Draft and spent his first seven professional seasons with the organization, topping out at 76 catches for 1,146 yards and nine touchdowns during a career-best 2021 campaign. The Clemson product moved on to the Jets last offseason but struggled to produce and was traded to the Steelers in early November. Between his stints with the two clubs, Williams tallied a modest 21 catches on 34 targets for 298 yards and one touchdown over 18 games during the regular season. With his return to Los Angeles, Williams will team up with a familiar quarterback in Justin Herbert, and he should have a decent-sized role as the team's No. 2 or No. 3 receiver behind Ladd McConkey.

  • Steelers' Mike Williams: Scores once across 18 appearances

Williams hauled in nine of 13 targets for 132 yards and one touchdown across nine regular-season appearances with the Steelers. He also posted a 12-166-0 receiving line on 21 targets in nine games with the Jets. Williams also had one 37-yard catch (on two targets) in the Steelers' wild-card round loss to Baltimore. The 30-year-old wideout failed to emerge as a reliable contributor in either New York, where he kicked off the 2024 campaign, or Pittsburgh, who acquired him via trade in early November in exchange for a 2025 fifth-round pick. Now set to become an unrestricted free agent this offseason, Williams will hope to find a landing spot in free agency where he'll get a chance to prove himself as a potential starting option.

  • Steelers' Mike Williams: Held without catch Wednesday

Williams failed to secure either of his two targets during Wednesday's 29-10 loss to Kansas City. Williams had racked up double-digit yards in each of the last three games, but his production took a step back on Christmas Day since George Pickens (hamstring) was back in action. Williams hasn't been a reliable contributor over his eight appearances with the Steelers this year, securing eight of 12 targets for 107 yards and a touchdown. Now that Pickens is healthy, Williams' upside for next week's regular-season finale against the Bengals is limited.

  • Steelers' Mike Williams: Racks up 24 yards in loss

Williams secured all three of his targets for 24 yards during Saturday's 34-17 loss to Baltimore. Williams continued to see a slightly increased role Saturday since George Pickens (hamstring) was sidelined for a third consecutive game. Williams has racked up double-digit receiving yards in each of the last three matchups, securing seven of nine targets for 75 yards during that time. His fantasy value remains limited, and his role could decrease next week since head coach Mike Tomlin has said that Pickens has a "real chance" to play against Kansas City.

  • Steelers' Mike Williams: One grab in Week 15

Williams caught one of his two targets for 15 yards in Sunday's 27-13 loss to the Eagles. Williams continues to struggle to take a step forward in Pittsburgh's passing attack since joining the team in Week 10. The veteran wideout played just 15 of the Steelers' 43 offensive snaps, behind fellow wide receivers Calvin Austin (35) and Van Jefferson (35). Despite No. 1 wideout George Pickens (hamstring) missing his second straight game, Williams was mostly an afterthought in the offensive scheme. The 30-year-old will look to bounce back in Week 16 when the Steelers visit the Ravens.

  • Steelers' Mike Williams: Elevated volume possible Sunday

Williams is in line for an expanded role in Sunday's Week 15 matchup against the Eagles with George Pickens (hamstring) inactive for the contest. Playing without Pickens in Week 14 against the Browns, Williams resurfaced in the Steelers' air attack, albeit modestly, with a 3-36-0 line on four targets. However, that represented a significant uptick in involvement for the veteran trade-deadline acquisition, whose only reception in a Steelers uniform prior to that game had been a 32-yard touchdown catch in his Week 10 team debut against the Commanders. Williams again will have added opportunities for targets Sunday, although those will come versus a talented Philadelphia secondary that's allowed an NFC-low 178.5 passing yards per game.

  • Steelers' Mike Williams: Moderate increase in role

Williams recorded three receptions on four targets for 36 yards in Sunday's 27-14 win over the Browns. The Steelers had limited pass volume, with Russell Wilson taking to the air only 26 times. Even with an expanded role in the absence of George Pickens (groin), that led to a modest stat line for Williams. Nevertheless, it was his best usage as a Steeler, and he finished tied for second on the team in targets. Even with some slight reason for optimism, it's difficult to trust that Williams will post a meaningful stat line heading into a Week 15 matchup against the Eagles.

  • Steelers' Mike Williams: No targets in Week 13

Williams wasn't targeted during Sunday's 44-38 win over Cincinnati. Williams recorded a 32-yard reception during his Steelers debut against Washington in Week 10, but he hasn't been targeted over three games since then. It's especially discouraging that Williams was held without a target during Sunday's high-scoring victory in which Russell Wilson tallied a season-high 414 passing yards. Williams seems unlikely to be a consistent fantasy option late in the regular season given his lack of work in recent weeks.

  • Steelers' Mike Williams: Not targeted against Baltimore

Williams wasn't targeted during Sunday's 18-16 win over the Ravens. Although Williams saw a slight increase in playing time during his second game with his new team, he didn't draw any targets in the narrow win. The 30-year-old reached the end zone late in his Steelers debut last week, and he'll look to bounce back Thursday against Cleveland as he continues to compete for a role in Pittsburgh's offense.

  • Steelers' Mike Williams: Week 11 Waiver Priority List

Williams had one catch in his Steelers debut in Week 10 at Washington, but it was a big one for a 32-yard touchdown. It was his lone target in the game, but he should start getting more opportunities after being traded to Pittsburgh from the Jets prior to facing the Commanders. It's a good idea to stash Williams in deeper leagues, and hopefully, he can have another big play or two against the Ravens in Week 11. Williams is worth adding for up to 5 percent of your remaining FAB.

  • Steelers' Mike Williams: Reaches end zone in team debut

Williams secured his lone target for a 32-yard touchdown during Sunday's 28-27 win over the Commanders. Williams was on the field for just nine offensive snaps during his first game in a Steelers uniform, but he made his presence felt by securing a go-ahead touchdown with 2:22 remaining in the fourth quarter. It was the first time he'd reached the end zone this season, after being shut out in nine games for the Jets, and his volume with the Steelers figures to grow as he gets more familiar with the playbook.

  • Steelers' Mike Williams: Set for Steelers debut

Williams is active for Sunday's game against the Commanders. Williams was acquired by the Steelers on Tuesday prior to the trade deadline, so there was some question of whether he'd be ready to suit up for his new team. Per Ian Rapoport and Mike Garafolo of NFL Network, Williams may not see a full complement of snaps, so he may not make much of a statistical impact in his debut with Pittsburgh.

  • Steelers' Mike Williams: Likely to play Sunday

Williams, whom the Steelers acquired in a trade with the Jets on Tuesday, is expected to suit up for his new team Sunday versus Washington, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports. Williams has had less than a full week to familiarize himself with Pittsburgh's offensive playbook, but he looks to have done enough to make his Steelers debut. The veteran wideout struggled in his nine games with New York prior to the trade, totaling just 12 catches on 21 targets for 166 yards and no touchdowns. Williams will look to resurrect his season as the Steelers' No. 2 receiver behind top wideout George Pickens.

  • Steelers' Mike Williams: Week 10 Waiver Priority List

The Jets traded Williams to the Steelers on Tuesday for a fifth-round pick, and Williams will now be the No. 2 receiver in Pittsburgh opposite George Pickens. Hopefully, Williams can develop a quick rapport with Russell Wilson and start playing at a high level, but Williams is worth a speculative add in all leagues. He's worth adding for up to 5 percent of your remaining FAB.

  • Steelers' Mike Williams: Moving to Steel City

The Jets agreed to trade Williams to the Steelers in Tuesday, Jordan Schultz of Fox Sports reports. Pittsburgh is sending a 2025 fifth-round pick to New York for the wide receiver's services, per Adam Schefter of ESPN. Despite playing in all nine games this season, Williams wasn't able to develop chemistry with Aaron Rodgers, surpassing 50 receiving yards only once and scoring no touchdowns. Williams will team up with George Pickens at the top of the Steelers' WR depth chart.

  • Jets' Mike Williams: Limited to one catch Thursday

Williams secured one of two targets for six yards in the Jets' 21-13 win over the Texans on Thursday night. Williams once again struggled for relevancy in the Jets' air attack, even on a night where Davante Adams missed significant time during the second half for a concussion check. Williams has been the subject of trade rumors as Tuesday's deadline approaches, and the fact he's had no more than one catch in any of his last four games seems to cement the notion his best fit may be somewhere outside the Jets organization.

  • Jets' Mike Williams: Week 9 Waiver Priority List

Williams could be the next wide receiver traded, so he's worth putting on your Fantasy roster in deeper leagues. With the right team, Williams could return to Fantasy relevancy, so stash him for 1 percent of your remaining FAB. Williams has no Fantasy value while he remains on the Jets.

  • Jets' Mike Williams: Blanked in No. 3 WR role

Williams wasn't targeted in Sunday's 25-22 loss to the Patriots. Williams has clearly lost the trust of Aaron Rodgers, as Williams played 58 percent of offensive snaps in the absence of Allen Lazard (chest) but wasn't thrown to at all. Xavier Gipson got the only target by a Jets wide receiver other than Garrett Wilson or Davante Adams, and Gipson made the most of that opportunity by scoring a one-yard touchdown. Williams is unlikely to play a significant role in Week 9 against the Texans, if he isn't traded by then.

  • Jets' Mike Williams: Week 8 Waiver Priority List

Williams is worth adding now in deeper leagues in case the Jets are able to trade him. He's not needed on the Jets following the addition of Davante Adams, and it would be great to see Williams traded to Kansas City or Tampa Bay. He's worth stashing for 1 percent of your remaining FAB if you have an open roster spot.
