Player Outlook
If you only saw Parker's final game in 2022, you might have thought he had a quality season in his first year in New England. In Week 18 at Buffalo, Parker caught six passes for 79 yards and two touchdowns on seven targets. But that game was the exception and not the rule. Parker only scored one other touchdown in 2022 and had just five games with at least 10 PPR points while also missing four games due to injury. He turned 30 this offseason, and the Patriots added JuJu Smith-Schuster and Mike Gesicki to compete for targets. Tyquan Thornton could also see a bigger role, and Parker doesn't have much upside in this run-first offense led by Mac Jones. In deeper leagues, you can draft Parker with a late-round pick, but most likely he'll be a waiver addition if he starts the season playing well.

  • Patriots' DeVante Parker: Limited again Thursday

Parker (knee) remained limited in practice Thursday, Evan Lazar of the Patriots' official site reports. Parker was limited all last week in practice but made his season debut in Week 2 against the Dolphins and played all 74 offensive snaps, turning in a 6-57-0 line on eight targets. Parker should be out there as an every-down wideout in a tougher Week 3 draw against the Jets.

  • Patriots' DeVante Parker: Logs limited practice

Parker (knee) was a limited participant at practice Wednesday. Parker, who was inactive Week 1 due to the knee injury, returned to action in the Patriots' loss to Miami this past Sunday. He took on a full workload right off the bat, playing all 71 of the Patriots' offensive snaps while catching six passes on eight targets for a team-high 57 yards. With no setbacks having been reported coming out of the Week 2 contest, Parker's listed limitations Wednesday may have been maintenance-related. In any case, the wideout will probably need to practice fully by Friday in order to avoid taking a questionable designation into this Sunday's matchup with the Jets.

  • Patriots' DeVante Parker: Leads team with 57 yards

Parker (knee) had six receptions on eight targets for 57 yards in Sunday's 24-17 loss to Miami. Parker was a game-time decision for Sunday Night Football after a week of limited practice due to a knee injury. The veteran receiver suited up and wound up leading the team in receiving on a quiet offensive night. Parker trailed only Kendrick Bourne's nine targets, but the latter did far less with his opportunities Sunday. Expect the now-healthy Parker to serve as one of the Patriots' top wideouts against the Jets next Sunday.

  • Patriots' DeVante Parker: Suits up Sunday

Parker (knee) is listed as active for Sunday night's game against the Dolphins. After being a limited participant in practice last week, Parker was inactive for the Patriots' season-opening loss to the Eagles. Following limited sessions Wednesday through Friday this time around, Parker is back in action Sunday and figures to step into a key role in a New England WR corps that also features JuJu Smith-Schuster and Kendrick Bourne, with Demario Douglas also a candidate to mix in along with practice squad elevation Jalen Reagor.

  • Patriots' DeVante Parker: Questionable for Sunday night

Parker (knee) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Dolphins after being a limited participant in practice this week. Parker was inactive for the Patriots' season-opening loss to the Eagles, but if he's cleared ahead of Sunday's 8:20 p.m. ET kickoff, he could step into a key role as the team's primary "X" receiver, a role largely handled by Kayshon Boutte in Week 1, per Evan Lazar of the team's official site. The timing of New England's contest will leave fantasy managers considering using Parker in Week 2 lineups with limited alternatives if he ends up on the inactive list, though reports could clarify the wideout's status before the first wave of games kick off this weekend.

  • Patriots' DeVante Parker: Remains limited Thursday

Parker (knee) remained a limited participant at practice Thursday. Along with Parker, fellow wideout Kayshon Boutte (hamstring) also was a limited participant, and unless one or both practice fully Friday, the two could approach Sunday's game against the Dolphins with questionable designations. Parker was inactive for the Patriots' season-opening loss to the Eagles this past weekend, but when available, he's slated to play a key role in a wideout corps that includes JuJu Smith-Schuster, Kendrick Bourne and Demario Douglas.

  • Patriots' DeVante Parker: Still limited at practice

Parker (knee) was a limited participant at practice Wednesday, Mike Reiss of ESPN reports. Parker, who was inactive for the Patriots' season-opening loss to the Eagles on Sunday, was also limited at practice throughout last week. With that in mind, the wideout will presumably need to practice fully by Friday in order to avoid taking an injury designation into this Sunday's game against the Dolphins. Rookie Kayshon Boutte, who took on an expanded role in Parker's absence Week 1, was also listed as a limited participant Wednesday due to a hamstring issue.

  • Patriots' DeVante Parker: Won't play Sunday

Parker (knee) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Eagles. A knee issue limited Parker at practice this past week, and he'll sit out the Patriots' opener while targeting a potential return in Week 2. In his absence, rookies Demario Douglas and Kayshon Boutte should have an opportunity to see increased snaps Sunday alongside fellow WRs JuJu Smith-Schuster and Kendrick Bourne.

  • Patriots' DeVante Parker: Likely out Sunday

Parker (knee) is listed as questionable but isn't expected to play in Sunday's game versus the Eagles, Jeff Howe of The Athletic reports. Official word on Parker's status won't arrive until the Patriots release their inactive list 90 minutes prior to Sunday's 4:25 p.m. ET kickoff, but barring a dramatic turnaround in his recovery from the knee injury, the wideout will sit out the season opener. As a result, the likes of Demario Douglas and Kayshon Boutte could see increased snaps at receiver alongside JuJu Smith-Schuster and Kendrick Bourne.

  • Patriots' DeVante Parker: Questionable to face Philly

Parker (knee) is listed as questionable for Sunday's season opener against the Eagles after being limited at practice this week, Evan Lazar of the Patriots' official site reports. Parker's status is thus worth monitoring ahead of Sunday's 4:25 ET kickoff, and if he's out or limited versus Philadelphia, Demario Douglas and/or Kayshon Boutte could see added WR snaps alongside JuJu Smith-Schuster and Kendrick Bourne. Additionally, Jalen Reagor is a candidate to be elevated from the Patriots' practice squad ahead of Week 1 action.

  • Patriots' DeVante Parker: Remains limited at practice

Parker (knee) remained limited at practice Thursday, Mike Reiss of ESPN.com reports. After having logged back-to-back limited sessions, Parker probably needs to practice fully Friday in order to avoid a Week 1 injury designation. If he's available Sunday against the Eagles, Parker would be in line to play a key role in a New England WR corps that also features JuJu Smith-Schuster and Kendrick Bourne.

  • Patriots' DeVante Parker: Logs limited practice

Parker was a limited participant at Wednesday's practice due to a knee injury. Parker had missed time last week, but he was present for Monday's practice and was at least able to get in some reps Wednesday. As long as the wideout's knee issue doesn't worsen as the week rolls along, Parker should be available for Sunday's season opener against the Eagles. He'll probably need to practice fully by Friday in order to avoid a Week 1 injury designation.

  • Patriots' DeVante Parker: Back at practice

Parker (undisclosed) was present for Monday's practice, Mike Reiss of ESPN.com reports. Parker wasn't spotted during the last two media-access portions of practice, but he's back on the field Monday, which bodes well for the wideout's chances of suiting up for Sunday's season opener against the Eagles. Wednesday's practice/injury report should clarify whether Parker has been managing an injury of some sort or is past the unspecified issue that impacted his participation last week.

  • Patriots' DeVante Parker: Misses practice

Parker (undisclosed) missed practice Thursday, Andrew Callahan of the Boston Herald reports. The report notes that Parker also missed Wednesday's session, but added that the wideout is believed to be "fine," per a league source. Assuming Parker's unspecified issue doesn't linger, the 2015 first-rounder is poised to serve as a key passing target for the Patriots this coming season while working alongside fellow WRs JuJu Smith-Schuster and Kendrick Bourne. During the 2022 campaign, his first with New England, Parker hauled in 31 of his 47 targets for 539 yards and three touchdowns in 13 games. Those are numbers he has the ability to improve on in 2023 if he can continue to build chemistry with QB Mac Jones while also avoiding missing extended time due to injuries.

  • Patriots' DeVante Parker: Agrees to three-year deal

Parker and the Patriots reached agreement Wednesday on a three-year extension worth up to $33 million, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports. Parker, who had one year remaining on his current deal, appeared in 13 games for the Patriots last season and caught 31 of 47 targets for 539 yards and three touchdowns, but his overall stats were boosted by a stellar 6-79-2 receiving line in Week 18. The 2015 first-round pick has struggled to stay healthy since turning in a career year with Miami in 2019, but when available, he's still able to make an impact. New England's wideout corps lost Jakobi Meyers this offseason but added JuJu Smith-Schuster, so Parker's role shouldn't change dramatically in 2023.

  • Patriots' DeVante Parker: Finishes on high note with two TDs

Parker had six catches for 79 yards and two touchdowns on seven targets in Sunday's 35-23 loss to the Bills. Parker's two-yard touchdown catch in the second quarter tied the score at 14 apiece. He added a 26-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter to pull the Patriots within five, but New England couldn't complete the comeback in the season-ending loss. Parker has one more season on his contract, while fellow wide receiver Jakobi Meyers is set to be an unrestricted free agent. Parker turns 30 less than a month into New England's offseason, and he had just one touchdown in his first campaign with the Patriots before this performance boosted his season totals to 31 catches for 539 yards and three touchdowns on 47 targets.

  • Patriots' DeVante Parker: Cleared for Week 18

Parker (concussion) doesn't carry an injury designation for Sunday's game against the Bills after practicing fully Friday, Evan Lazar of the Patriots' official site reports. Parker, who last suited up Week 14, is thus slated to reclaim a key role in the Patriots' wideout corps in the regular-season finale. Prior to missing the last three games, Parker logged a 25-460-1 receiving line on 40 targets through 12 games, a rate of production that puts him on the fantasy radar in deeper formats in Week 18.

  • Patriots' DeVante Parker: Limited at practice Wednesday

Parker (concussion) was a limited participant in practice Wednesday. In his first practice since suffering a concussion in the Patriots' Week 14 win over the Cardinals, Parker's reps were capped, but his return to the field in any capacity suggests that he has a chance to return to the lineup for Sunday's game against the Bills. If so, Parker would be in line to reclaim his usual starting role out wide for New England. In 12 appearances this season, Parker has put together a 25-460-1 receiving line on 40 targets.

  • Patriots' DeVante Parker: Ruled out for Week 17

Parker (concussion) won't play Sunday against the Dolphins, Andrew Callahan of the Boston Herald reports. Parker will miss a third consecutive game. Kendrick Bourne stepped up in his absence against the Bengals in Week 16, mustering 100 yards and a touchdown as the No. 2 wide receiver option behind Jakobi Meyers. Parker will have one more chance to suit up in the regular season when the Patriots face the Bills in Week 18.

  • Patriots' DeVante Parker: Still not practicing

Parker (concussion) wasn't spotted at practice Friday, Evan Lazar of the Patriots' official site reports. Parker didn't practice Wednesday and Thursday and is trending toward missing his third straight game Sunday against the Dolphins. If he's out this weekend, New England's Week 17 wideout corps would be led by Jakobi Meyers, Tyquan Thornton (knee), Kendrick Bourne and Nelson Agholor.
