  • Ryan Tannehill: Not on Green Bay's radar

The Packers aren't expected to pursue adding Tannehill or another veteran quarterback after Jordan Love (knee) suffered an MCL sprain in Friday's season-opening loss to the Eagles, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network. Dianna Russini of The Athletic previously indicated that the Packers had reached out to Tannehill, but Pelissero suggests that the team doesn't plan to add a veteran signal-caller at this stage. At this time, the Packers are hopeful that Love is able to return on the shorter end of an estimated 3-to-6-week recovery timeline. Green Bay appears on track to have Malik Willis start their Week 2 game against the Colts, per Jay Glazer of Fox Sports.

  • Ryan Tannehill: Contacted by Packers

The Packers have contacted Tannehill in the wake of Jordan Love suffering an MCL sprain during Friday's loss to the Eagles in Brazil, Dianna Russini of The Athletic reports. Since hitting free agency back in March, Tannehill has been waiting on the right opportunity, which includes a contender with a strong offensive line and a bevy of skill-position talent. Green Bay represents such a situation, and with Love set to miss 3-to-6 weeks due to his Week 1 injury, Tannehill has his first chance to join a team for the 2024 season. If the Packers and Tannehill find common ground on a contract, he'd get the chance to work with RB Josh Jacobs, WRs Jayden Reed, Christian Watson and Romeo Doubs and TEs Tucker Kraft and Luke Musgrave for at least a handful of games once he picks up the playbook.

  • Ryan Tannehill: Set to wait on right opportunity

Tannehill, who remains one of the more high-profile unsigned quarterbacks, has been the subject of calls from interested teams throughout the offseason but prefers to wait on an ideal opportunity before he commits to playing in 2024, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports. Specifically, sources have informed Rapoport that Tannehill is seeking to join a playoff contender in need of a quarterback that boasts a strong offensive line and offensive weapons. Tannehill has been keeping himself in shape by continuing to throw to receivers in case the right opportunity presents itself and he's compensated accordingly. The Packers boast a solid offensive line plus a deep stable of receivers and seemingly have a need for a proven veteran under center after Jordan Love (knee) suffered an MCL sprain in Friday's season-opening loss to the Eagles that will likely keep him out 3-to-6 weeks, but it's unclear if the team is interested in Tannehill or if the 36-year-old would be willing to accept what would presumably be only a short-term run as Green Bay's starter.

  • Titans' Ryan Tannehill: Manages Titans to upset win

Tannehill completed 17 of 26 passes for 168 yards, two touchdowns and one interception in Sunday's 28-20 win over the Jaguars. Tannehill served as Tennessee's primary quarterback for the third consecutive game and helped the team to an upset win. He got the offense off to a hot start, leading a seven-play, 75-yard touchdown drive on the opening possession, which concluded with a 28-yard touchdown toss to Tyjae Spears. Tannehill began the third quarter with his second score, hitting DeAndre Hopkins from six yards away. It was a solid performance in what will almost certainly be his final game with the Titans, though Tannehill should be able to find a new deal as a backup for another franchise this offseason.

  • Titans' Ryan Tannehill: Enters in relief of Levis

Tannehill completed 16 of 20 passes for 168 yards, no touchdowns and no interceptions in Sunday's 26-3 loss to the Texans. Will Levis (foot) began the game at quarterback, but he suffered an injury late in the first quarter. As a result, Tannehill entered in relief and turned in a mediocre performance in the blowout loss. Levis has now battled several lower-body injuries in the last several weeks, which could set Tannehill up for a start in a Week 18 matchup against the Jaguars.

  • Titans' Ryan Tannehill: Would start Week 16 if Levis sits

Head coach Mike Vrabel said Wednesday that Tannehill will start Sunday against the Seahawks if Will Levis (ankle) is unable to play, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports. After sustaining the ankle injury on Tennessee's final offensive play of this past Sunday's overtime loss to the Texans, Levis didn't practice Wednesday, per Wyatt. Since making a recovery from a right high-ankle sprain suffered in mid-October, Tannehill has served as Levis' top backup over the last four games and will get the starting nod over Malik Willis if Levis isn't cleared to play this weekend. Tannehill started Tennessee's first six games of the season and posted an ugly 2:6 TD:INT.

  • Titans' Ryan Tannehill: Limited in return to practice

Tannehill (ankle) was a limited practice participant Wednesday, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports. Tannehill practiced for the first time since Week 6, but his status for this Sunday's game in Tampa Bay doesn't hold as much weight following head coach Mike Vrabel's announcement Tuesday that Will Levis will start at quarterback going forward. If healthy enough to play this Sunday in Tampa Bay, Tannehill will serve as the Titans' No. 2 quarterback ahead of Malik Willis.

  • Titans' Ryan Tannehill: Sitting out practice Tuesday

Head coach Mike Vrabel said Tannehill (ankle) won't practice Tuesday, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports. "As of right now, I'd imagine it will be Will [Levis starting Thursday at Pittsburgh]," Vrabel told Turron Davenport of ESPN.com. Citing a source close to the situation, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com reported Monday that Levis was on track to make a second consecutive start Week 9, so Vrabel's comments about the Titans' quarterback situation don't come as a major surprise. Barring dramatic improvement over the next couple of days in his recovery from the right high-ankle sprain he sustained in the Titans' Week 6 loss to the Ravens, Tannehill will be inactive for the second game in a row this week. The Titans will likely wait and see if Tannehill is able to do anything at Wednesday's practice before providing more clarity on his status heading into Thursday.

  • Titans' Ryan Tannehill: Won't play Week 8

Titans head coach Mike Vrabel confirmed Friday that Tannehill (ankle) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Falcons, Turron Davenport of ESPN.com reports. As anticipated, Tannehill won't be ready to play this weekend while he continues to recover from the right high-ankle sprain he suffered in the Titans' Week 6 loss to the Ravens before Tennessee went on bye for Week 7. Per Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site, Vrabel was unwilling to name a starting quarterback for Sunday, instead noting that he plans to have both Malik Willis and Will Levis get reps under center. After failing to practice in any fashion Week 8, Tannehill may struggle to gain clearance for Week 9, as the Titans are set to travel to Pittsburgh for a Thursday night game and are likely to hold walk-throughs or light practices leading up to that contest.

  • Titans' Ryan Tannehill: Not practicing again

Tannehill (ankle) isn't participating in Thursday's practice, Turron Davenport of ESPN.com reports. Per Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site, Tannehill is dealing with what he described as a right high-ankle sprain, an injury that leaves the quarterback unlikely to play Sunday against the Falcons. If Tannehill ends up sidelined this weekend, head coach Mike Vrabel has said that both Will Levis and Malik Willis will be in line to see snaps in the contest. Levis is expected to start in such a scenario and would likely be in store to take the majority of the snaps at quarterback.

  • Titans' Ryan Tannehill: Not practicing Wednesday

Tannehill (ankle) won't practice Wednesday, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports. Per Wyatt, Tannehill confirmed that he's dealing with a right high-ankle sprain, and even with the benefit of a Week 7 bye to recover, the quarterback may have a tough time gaining clearance for Sunday's game against the Falcons. If Tannehill is unavailable this weekend, head coach Mike Vrabel told Wyatt that both Will Levis and Malik Willis would be in line to see action Week 8. Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reported earlier Wednesday that the Titans are preparing Levis to start, though Vrabel wouldn't confirm as much and reiterated that both Levis and Willis could see time regardless of whom replaces Tannehill as the starter.

  • Titans' Ryan Tannehill: Not ready to practice yet

Head coach Mike Vrabel said that Tannehill (ankle) won't practice Tuesday, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports. Tannehill is considered unlikely to play Week 8 versus the Falcons, despite the fact that the Titans are coming off a bye, though he hasn't been ruled out yet. The veteran QB was forced to sit out the last quarter of Tennessee's loss to the Ravens in Week 6 due to a right high-ankle sprain, an injury that could require a multi-week absence. Vrabel also said he expects both Malik Willis and rookie second-round pick Will Levis to see the field versus Atlanta if Tannehill ultimately can't go.

  • Titans' Ryan Tannehill: On crutches after Sunday's game

Tannehill, who suffered a right ankle injury during Sunday's 24-16 loss to the Ravens in London, was on crutches following the contest, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports. Schefter adds that Tannehill is slated to undergo an MRI when the Titans return to the United States. Until the results of the MRI are read, the extent of the quarterback's injury likely won't be known. The Titans will be on bye Week 7, but at this stage, Tannehill's availability for the team's next game Oct. 29 versus the Falcons is up in the air. Malik Willis took over for Tannehill in the fourth quarter Sunday, completing four of five pass attempts for 74 yards while adding 17 yards on three carries and taking four sacks.

  • Titans' Ryan Tannehill: Barely cracks 100 yards

Tannehill completed 13 of 25 passes for 104 yards without a touchdown, turnover or rushing attempt in Sunday's 27-3 loss to the Browns. Tannehill threw for just 91 yards in the first half while getting sacked three times, including one on the final play of the half with the Titans in field-goal range but without a timeout. Things only got worse after halftime, as Tannehill added a meager 13 passing yards and got sacked twice more. Tennessee's beleaguered offensive line was overwhelmed by Cleveland's pass rush in what has been a common theme through three weeks. Tannehill will hope to get better protection in Week 4 against the Bengals.

  • Titans' Ryan Tannehill: Sit in 2QB/Superflex (Start/Sit)

Tannehill showed some life in Week 2 against the Chargers with 23.0 Fantasy points, and he needed that kind of game after scoring 2.4 points in Week 1 at New Orleans. He's back on the road this week, and the Browns have been great so far against Joe Burrow and Kenny Pickett, holding them to a combined 304 passing yards, one touchdown and one interception. The Titans offensive line should be tested in this game, and Tannehill could be running for his life. I would try to avoid him in most formats if you can.

  • Titans' Ryan Tannehill: Adds/Streamers (QB Preview)

Tannehill was awful in Week 1, but so was the Chargers defense. This profiles as a pass-heavy game script due to the matchup against the Chargers high-powered offense.

  • Titans' Ryan Tannehill: Not expected to play Saturday

Tannehill isn't expected to play in Saturday's preseason game versus the Bears, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports. Despite using draft picks on Malik Willis and Will Levis in back-to-back years, Tannehill is still viewed as the Titans' starting quarterback and will thus watch the team's first preseason game from the sidelines. Willis is expected to get the start, but the second-year pro will rotate series with Levis, a 2023 second-round pick.

  • Titans' Ryan Tannehill: Still viewed as starter

Coach Mike Vrabel confirmed Tuesday that he expects Tannehill (ankle) to remain the Titans' starting QB in 2023, Jim Wyatt of the team's official site reports. Vrabel did acknowledge that the team's roster for the coming season remains under construction, but for now Tannehill, who is moving past an ankle injury that landed him on IR last December, sits atop the Titans' QB depth chart, with 2022 third-rounder Malik Willis currently the only other signal-caller that the team has under contract. Meanwhile, Tennessee seems destined to add pass-catching depth following the offseason departures of wideout Robert Woods and tight end Austin Hooper.

  • Titans' Ryan Tannehill: Lands on IR

The Titans have placed Tannehill (ankle) on IR, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports. Tannehill thus is officially ruled out for the remainder of the regular season and won't be available to the Titans unless the team makes a deep playoff run. In his absence, Malik Willis and Joshua Dobbs -- who is expected to start Thursday night's game against the Cowboys -- will handle the team's QB duties in the coming weeks.

  • Titans' Ryan Tannehill: Done for regular season

Tannehill won't be available for the Titans' final three regular-season games and is considered "unlikely" to return for the postseason after undergoing a tightrope procedure earlier this week to address a right high-ankle sprain, a league source tells Adam Schefter of ESPN. Late Friday, Schefter relayed that Tannehill was in line to miss at least the next two games and was viewed as a "long shot" to make it back for the Titans' Week 18 game against the Jaguars, essentially matching what Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reported. However, Schefter's latest update indicates that the Titans are already discounting the possibility of Tannehill making it back before the end of the regular season, and the quarterback's chances of suiting up in the postseason appear to be remote at this stage. For its part, Tennessee has officially ruled Tannehill out only for Saturday's game against the Texans, and until he's moved to injured reserve, the team will likely continue to update the veteran signal-caller's status on a week-by-week basis. Rookie Malik Willis will start Week 16 and likely for the rest of Tennessee's schedule, barring Tannehill making a speedier recovery than anticipated.
